It's a non winnable argument....one man's meat and aw that. Some will see certain abilities in Hazard which better Coutinho and others will see same in Coutinho blah de blah.

Which part of not neccesarrily referring to this thread did you miss? Have a look in the Coutinho/Barkley thread for example. Some people will never rate him, no matter what, which makes no sense to me. I wasn't referring to someone preferring Hazard, as that would make no sense given that I'm currently in that position myself. Despite thinking Coutinho has been our best player this season.

So Hazard is ahead by a good margin even taking into account the Liverpool fans voting for Coutinho (G-Dragon, Saltire, HibserPOOL) out of blind loyalty and those whose opinions just don't matter (Forthright). The actual stats are closer to 80% Hazard and 20% Coutinho.

One thing I respect Pagnell for is not doing the cowardly thing and voting for his own preference, in this case Coutinho. As the man who begged for the thread to be made I think it speaks highly of his character for him to abstain from voting on this occasion and let the people decide.

Figuring that into my calculations I now state that the official standings are as follows...Hazard 91%, Coutinho 9%.

I've said a few times in the last few weeks that on current form I think Coutinho is the best in the league, hence my vote for him. If you'd asked me preseason I'd have went with Hazard. He however went missing on Chelsea's poor run and Coutinho has been a lot more consistent so far and in the last month has raised his game to new levels.

Are either world class btw? Yep I'd say so.

The fact that Hazard sabotaged Mourinho's Chelsea career by effectively downing tools means for me he just pips Coutinho to my vote.
