Really poor performance from quite a few individuals.

Great win! Love an away game like that, fans were immense. Coventry's defence were woeful. Michael O'Connor was superb second half and ran the show! We look so much better with Marshall and Moore out wide. By the way, how soulless is that ground? Looked like there was no one there

Just back, great day and performance after a shaky start. Think Coventry only had two real efforts on target and scored them and would have been a travesty had we not won it.

Marshall was immense, Moore had a great second half and Oaky and Brown ran the midfield.

Nice ground and great atmosphere in the away end but nothing from the home fans as just too spread out.

Expected Vale to be under the cosh at times with it being Mowbrays first game but it never ever came and we were easily in control second half.

Tudgay is awful, I remember him playing in a League Cup tie for Wednesday against him and how he's made a living in the Championship is beyond me. The skilful midfielder looked decent for them but Samuel who people have been raving about might as well have not turned up.

Found the Christ the King football club great pre match hosts and extremely friendly.

Overall great day and the play offs are still on!

There pretty much wasn't anyone there.

Sounds a bit shit. Still looking forward to Bradford on Tuesday.

Every season ticket holder can bring a friend for free, meaning at least 5000 free tickets.

Guess what, the crowd will be less than 8000.

It's got to the stage where it is embarrassing to say you're going to the Coventry games.

I'll be there, though.

Tbf, I don't have a ST. Normally just get a junior ticket and get in cheaper (Because I'm a badman obvs). Agree on the 8000 figure as well which isn't too bad considering league position and tuesday night game really.

On the Coventry forum a guy reckoned Marshall, Brown, O'Connor, Willo and Dicko wouldn't get in the Coventry side and show what a poor side we are :fl:

Brown, Dickinson and Williamson wouldn't.

Hasnt Willo (who's not the greatest by any means) scored more than most of your strikers put together?

Brown was class today.

That's likely to be true but Williamson in our team would have scored less than players like Samuel. We've had Dickinson and he's just shit. I've never really liked Brown really. Wouldn't add a lot to our team other than making our midfield partnership even slower than it already is. Wouldn't mind O'Connor/Marshall though.

Samuel was shunted out wide after scoring goals at striker and it didn't suit him, massive problems left behind by Pressley and Mowbray isn't going to turn it around overnight which is a worry as the games are beginning to run out. We started off well for the first 30 minutes and then just ran out of steam, I think we have a massive fitness problem as after 35 minutes the opposition just seem to be running rings around us. Tudgay is awful, everyone would agree.

Game was quite entertaining, lacking of quality at times. Two decent goals from Marshall and O'Connor was the difference.

Vale fans were noisy for 5 minutes after they scored there 2nd and 3rd goals, sounded loud when you got going but other than that they were pretty flat throughout.

Oh and to the fans with the Wasps flag, I'm not sure what that was about but most of our fans (not me) love Wasps anyway.

I've done that, the stewards don't give a shit.

For me 8000 would be a poor crowd Tuesday considering the buy one get one free offer.

Maybe don't travel that well in the stadium but in the away end the atmosphere was quality for the majority of the game.

And Marshall couldn't last
year.

Luckily for us! How you let him go for free is beyond me. He has been the best performer and a level above JMW who'd done a decent job for us in the years before.

Well after a shaky first 15-20 mins we took control and deserved the points, anything less than a win in the end would have gutted me. Neal should have done better for the first City goal and the 2nd was awful defending. O'Conner, Marshall and even Williamson were quality. Coventry looked poor and if things don't change they will be in a real trouble.

Steven Pressley is a clown, let Marshall, Adams and Baker go for free. Bizarre, as they are all good L1 players.

Surprisingly (or not?) his replacement who was Danny Swanson was swiftly shipped out on loan to St. Johnstone and then banged in a screamer to beat Celtic at Celtic Park

They second looked a hint of a foul on the half way line. Dont know how the referee didnt give the penalty in injury time for the foul on Pope as he was about to lay on a tap in! It was as easy a decisions come and had his legs taken out!

I thought you should have had a penalty, it was just before injury time wasn't it? About 88th minute on the byline right infront of the Vale fans?

The ref had a stinker, I agree Valefan16, why would Pope go down when he beat his man and would have had only the keeper to beat.

Other than 5 minute spells after the second and third goals where it was good it didn't sound impressive. MK fans were better last week, they were losing for about 85 minutes of the match and barely ever stopped singing.

Tony Mowbray told BBC Coventry after the game , When it got back to two all, I thought only one team was going to win it, but unfortunately it didn't work out that way.

After going 2-1 up we were in total control.
