I'd imagine after Chesterfield's pitiful result against Blackpool, this thread is going to be be basically back and forth "we're shit, you'll win!" "no, we're more shit than you, you'll win", "mate, you haven't seen how shit we are, you'll definitely win" comments no?

Or do Chesterfield still retain some optimism despite their recent poor form?

For us, Davis simply hasn't got a clue how to set us up to play at home. Can't work out what formation to play, what players to select, what tactics to use. It's painful to see him flounder around, but hey, what can you do? Don't give a rats arse about who he picks and in what system. All I know is, we'll likely play terribly and likely lose.

As for Chesterfield, their positive start has got a bit to pot of late. Although thats mostly down to the those late set backs at home to Wigan, Colchester and Burton. I mean, had they not conceded the late goals in those games, they would be 6 points better off now. Any optimism still left in Spirite land? Or is the doom and gloom setting in?

So erm..yeah. Roll on Saturday I suppose? Safe trip over Chesterfield fans.

I'll be annoyed if we lose or win this for some reason. We win and I'll be annoyed because Davis won't get sacked anytime sooner and if we win well I'll be annoyed because why can't we do it more often. We lose well we lose don't we.

Home win based on the utter dog toss I witnessed for 53 minutes yesterday.

First away trip of the season for me but i have no idea why i'm going, it's clearly going to be a painful experience.

Maybe we'll get a bit of luck and claim a 0-0.......nah, enjoy your points Crewe.

Got be Chesterfield win as Crewe are absolute garbage, remarkably every team has scored at least 2 at their ground bar us so doesn,t say much for us either !! Either way Davis will still be in a job on Monday thank god, only leaves the 3 relegation spots to fill then.

We concede goals at the same rate Port Vale fans post dumbass comments in our match threads.

I'm intrigued by which tactical masterclass we'll see this weekend. After last night's stroke of genius in the game where we'd see "more of the ball than the opposition" and stuck an extra striker in to create more chances (quote Neil Baker), what they have up their sleeve next is anyones guess.

We're clearly the most charitable outfit in the league.

Wigan not living up to their hype? Here's three late goals to kick things off.

Colchester struggling? No problem, have another two.

Blackpool forgetting what a '1' looks like next to their name on the coupon? Hey presto!

And you're perfectly welcome, Crewe Alexandra...

The score could be anything, 0-4 to Chesterfield, 2-0 the Alex, 2-5 to Chesterfield, 3-1 the Alex. One thing for sure is even if we win it won't go without hanging on at times. It's all a mess for me, yes, SD doesn't seem to know what his best team/system is, yes, we have let players go who we should have kept, but while certain people sit on the board the club is moving along with the handbrake on, so if SD get replaced not much changes, but maybe another coach/manager can get more out of the current squad. Watching the match on Tuesday and I noted how a apart in the 2nd half the centre backs were, in fairness Nugent looked liked he was up for the fight, but some of the positions he took up, wow, same with Ray, and how old are they, 22 and 21, thats young for a CB pairing, now imagine if we had a steady hand at the back, say somebody like Alan Tate, then Nugent and Ray just might learn their craft.......

Not arsed. I'll be having a nice quiet weekend in, maybe I'll go to the gym, maybe I'll play some PS4, maybe I'll do some weird sexual stuff. Only reason I'd go for this is to sing Saunders out and I'm not paying whatever the price of a ticket is to do that.

Not going until Davis is gone now, that's despite not watching us lose since the jpt area final 2nd leg vs Coventry (16 games undefeated since) but despite not seeing us lose for ages, its still boring, negatively be and rubbish football. Can't warrant forking out £22 of my hard earned money to watch , SD's horrid brand of football.

Crewe 0-1 Chesterfield (Ray og) 3,956 (419 Spireites)

Unless we improve hugely from the other night there's no way we can beat a fellow professional side.

Sounds like Chesterfield are shite, which is very annoying. Hope they still manage to dick us. Need to look at the bigger picture now. Davis needs to go, and that's only gonna happen if we get smashed EVERY week.

Also, I absolutely refuse to accept that we have the worst squad in the league.

Watch out Chesterfield, we go into this game in high spirits as Davis points out we're better off than we were this time last season.

Fucking hell.

Anyone up for a game of Davis Bingo if we lose? My guess is he'll blame the fixture schedule making us play 3 games in a week for our inevitable defeat today.

Hope a lot of people start chanting Davis Out today, sadly the majority of Crewe fans are the laziest in the country and allow themselves to be bought by spin and tortured by a flawed philosophy that is completely non-existent under the current management.
