I'm liking the arrogance in some of the comments from The Trainspotting brigade
Clearly League 2 Man City
If we go 4-4-2 it's a risk, if we go 4-3-3 it's a risk , fuck me they are that good eh .
May as well go 10-0-0 and see if we can get a nil nil

As for Artell it's nothing to do with the fact that he jumped ship , he's actually cringeworthy and sometimes I actually feel for McGarry when he comes out with his shite. By the way it's not a Vale thing I've read such comments by other teams fans.

I've always liked Micky, and Dario. No view on Mr Artell. Just made me and my mates laugh that most photos of him look like he's about to blubber

He always looked to me like he has a massive cold with a red nose!

Artell never gives opposition players praise or say they scored a good goal there fair play too them he always says poor defending we should have dealt with that better. Yeah hes doing a good job at crewe and they will most likely get promoted but I cant stand listening to his interviews anymore. As for this game we do have a half decent away record at crewe but in personally think we have no chance and are going get thrashed.

He’s actually a very decent, articulate man. The more I listen to him the more I think that.

What’s your problem with him? If you’re basing it on him jumping out of your sinking ship for his and his family’s sake then that’s a bit unfair.

As for your gaffer, what a monotone, uninspiring, bore of a man.

It's nothing to do with jumping ship, I couldn't give two shits about that. It's his condescending tone, his lack of humility and general knob headed attitude when interviewed. He's clearly a knob and only those on the side of Crewe can't see that. I don't find him decent, he never gives any credit to opposition and is so argumentative and childish with the interviewer.

Agree that our manager is monotone and uninspiring. We're yet to be fully convinced, but at least he's a decent, honest guy.

To be fair to Askey can’t be many current managers with a stand named after them in the EFL hehe.

I think in terms of Artell if Devon Lad or SERNWA was a manager he is what they’d be!

He’s very classless, take the example of the Vale games on the one time so far he’s beat us (against ten men) he decides to slate the Vale fan base who felt Cooper made a meal of it... forced to apologise.

They score a last minute equaliser and he celebrates like they’ve won the Champions League down the touch line.

We beat them at Gresty Legge got away with murder (what murder this one we are yet to figure out)

We batter them at VP for 90 minutes and he claims it wasn’t a big game... despite as before mentioned it being massive enough 12 months earlier for him to run the touch line Mourinho style whilst their fans twat our keeper and left back.

He is what he is, he’s done a steady job progressing a side that had been struggling for about six or seven years and has turned it around so fair play but he’s a bit of a muppet off the field. Maybe his arrogance has helped his team who knows.

He is abit of a wind up merchant and I get he winds opposition fans up abit. But he is actually very intelligent, when speaking to him I was actually quite surprised at just how intelligent he is. He's also very witty and extremely quick with banter, which I think has helped in the dressing room with a fairly young team.

I'd much rather Dave than dull Davis that he preceded thats for sure.

To be fair Michael Brown would probably be better than Davis! That interview after we sent you down was absolutely disgraceful! If that was a Vale manager he’d have never stepped foot in Vale Park again in that situation!

Such a sad day for Vale fans today with the departure of our Nath from down the road. Hopefully the Vale team can honour his service tomorrow and get a win. Be nice if Carol can arrange for him to do a lap of honour at our next home game for the incredible work he’s done.

Agent Jones has been a magnificent servant and I am sure the Alex fans will also join in a minutes applause in the 23rd minute in honour of the position he has left the lardies in!

In fact Stoke have lost 3 times more than Vale and Crewe have combined!

The news about Jones has genuinely put a dampener on my weekend. Didn’t expect it to come today, the board must have finally clicked on to the abyss they were heading to. Would have loved to have seen him lose a few more games with them, it’s been great.

Id love nothing more than seeing them get relegated with Pulis as manager though.

The Stoke fans I know said they wouldn’t step foot back in the Brit if Pulis came back. They should never have hounded Rowett out whose record wasn’t even that bad, humble pie for them.

Be interesting to see how the next man does, a lot reckon the problems run deeper. I did want to see Nick Powell do well there though.

Maybe the Coates dynasty has just run its course.

Powell pulls his hamstring putting his socks on.
Great waste of a talent and now vanished into thin air at Lard

Isn’t it also that Powell just doesn’t like being a footballer (hence joined Stoke) and so CBA? That move to United ruined him from the off. Wrong time, wrong place. Shame. Him and Ashton arguably two of the best to ever play for us (Deano is the best ever, no arguments). Both careers completely wasted somehow.

Wasn’t it Hulse you had with Ashton, good side you had those days.

Nick Powell did well at Wigan too, their fans wax lyrical about him. Hopefully he gets fit and focused under the next man, because he walks into their side everyday. Far too talented to go to waste, but a poor attitude.

As for tomorrow, just like to reiterate that I’m confident we’ll bottle it and I’m dreading it. If we lose the rugby too I will be very miserable. We’ve won 1 out of the 6 last home fixtures against Vale, shit record.

Not sure I buy that argument, sure he wants to succeed. The easy route would have been to sign the improved contract at Wigan. Fergie leaving United after he joined meant he never stood a chance, Moyes wouldn’t risk playing Powell.

To be fair you’ve generally reversed that record at VP. Seems to be generally a fixture that goes for the away side more than home.

Hopefully a good contest, we’ve lost 1 in 8, your top nice to have it where it’s not a battle to be less shitter at the bottom of league two for a change after the last couple of seasons.

Over 7000 tickets sold for this in total. Most of the Gresty Rd end is full as are the middle 3 blocks of the main stand. Should be over 8000 by ko tomorrow. Which would be our biggest crowd for a league game since we were in the championship.

Anything less than 5500 home fans would be poor in your situation surely so 8000 should be achievable.

It seems to happen a lot to Crewe players, may be its a bit like Michael Owen doing too much too young.

I have only one wish for today and that is for the Alex to show up. Last season, they didn't, twice. And it still pisses me off now. They don't need to do anything they haven't been doing all season either. Keep the mistakes to a minimum, especially at the back(looking at you Nicky Hunt). Keep cool heads and don't get any silly cards. And take chances upfront.

If they fail to perform today after the good displays against Cheltenham and Swindon especially, I'll be really annoyed.

Worrall in for Browne as expected, no place for Pope, it we play the high press this makes sense as Pope doesn’t run... and not a bad option to chuck on If needed.

Got a feeling the rugby so early has had people having more booze than usual! Could be spicey and hope the scenes of a couple of seasons back are not repeated.

If there is a late decisive goal or a dodgy call for either team, things will definitely kick off.

Probably the first game between these 2 teams in a long time where neither was scrapping against relegation or struggling in general.
