I'm amazed Peter Taylor can still get a job anywhere, he might be on a wage of half a mars bar and a button, but he's proper shit.

Prepare for watching the dullest football of your lives.

Be prepared for tedious football and he'll fall out with all of your strikers.
In your promotion season, wasn't your top scorer Matt Harrold with only 9 goals?

I can remember you lot under Taylor coming to SB on a Tuesday night and despite the league positions, you played this weird formation with Tommy Doherty, Neil Lennon and Gary Holt in central midfield, sat right on top of your CB's and didn't move all game.

All spot on mate, we lost at home to Notts County on the last day of the season but went up on goal difference, bugger me the football was dire under Taylor even worse than how Ainsworth had us playing when he first took over. Taylor wanted strikers to defend not venture past the halfway line and anyone who tried to attack was instantly substituted hence him falling out with every striker we had except Harrold who was his main arselicker, the same will happen at Dagenham you can be sure of that.

If that scenario involves Matt Harrold moving to Dagenham then I’m all for it.

Fejiri Okenabirhie sold to Shrewsbury which should help out the cause quite a bit.

Rumours we may make one or two signings next week, the Michael Cheek one to us has been floating around since March when Dagenhams troubles started and we signed Sam Ling from them.

Does not help one bit, this fee was already factored in at a certain amount to the funds we need according to the boards mouth piece on our forum.

"Leave one up Taylor, leave one up"

I have no idea what happened to the manager that took us to the Championship and the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, sorry Daggers, entertainment values will be at an all time low for you next season.

He used to pull everyone back for corners, but not both with man marking or leaving anyone on either post.

Dull and incompetent.

Why would you want someone on both posts? Man marking is such a British hang up. Can we get over it soon?

Because we conceded two goals from corners in said match, both from having no one on the posts. If you have all 11 back you'd expect the players to at least do the basics.

(and shut up lotal)

Having people on both posts isn't basics... Watch the World Cup and tell me how many teams have players on both posts. I will happily bet you a beer that it's four or under...

(Also, that's not why you conceded. No team ever conceded from not having players on both posts.)

John Still brings all men back at corners as well so at least we'll be used to that.

His record in recent years doesn't give me much optimism but who knows. We have small expectations which might just play into his hands

For every pissed off Gillingham fan there is a very pleased Hull fan regarding Taylor. I see this as a short term appointment until our finances are sorted and we go part time in a year. The connections and experience of Taylor and Harris will see us stay up next season and that’ll do me.

Have a look at Taylor's record at Stevenage years back. Then talk to me.

Most managers with many years behind them have stints of crap records. I see the appointment as a chance for us to stay up and move forward, our budget will be bottom 4 or 5 and a team full of kids. If we do stay up it will be a great achievement.

When Peter Taylor was Dover manager we finished 3rd from bottom of the conference & were only save by the agm cup.
He went straight from Dover to England under 21's!

Just signed Jack Munns and Liam Bellamy. A sign that investment is close.

Knew about Munns signing for your lot for weeks now, he was a luxury player on mega wages, hopefully he’s over his cancer scare and can get back to playing some footy.

Didn't work out for him at you guys obviously. What type of player is he though? He's one of them players I've heard of but never actually seen him play.

He’s a toddler, like mascot size, problem with us was he didn’t have a position, not a winger, too soft to be a centre mid, probably best played behind a pair of forwards.

We hardly seen him kick a ball so I couldn’t even tell you what he’s like, he mostly got 10 mins at the end of a match. Cheltenham rave about his time there, we must’ve got a different Munns to them.

Sounds promising. What are their plans? Do they have money?
To have any involvement in the Yankees they have to have some money behind them. Their like the Man City of baseball when it comes to spending.
