Bias view, impossible to comment unless you see each team regularly to make a judgement.

Can’t comment as I’ve not really heard of him but we will see who is rated the best come the end of the season. So far the Exeter midfielder Nicky Law has looked by far the best opposing player we’ve faced.

In terms of rating a player by the impact on a team mind Manny Oyeleke must be up there.

Vale games with Manny playing W4 D2 L1
Vale games with Manny injured W0 D0 L5

Won’t get many players who affect a team as much as that.

I know Mayor is meant to be very good but I will go for an equally biased view and say we have two candidates for the ‘best’ player. Nicky Law has been amazing since signing and I’m amazed he agreed to sign for us. Also, Stockley must be in with a shout due to the fact he has a better than 1 in 2 strike rate in the last season and a bit.

Players from other teams I’d say must be up there are James Norwood, Sammy Szmodics, Otis Khan, Jason Shackell etc etc

Remember Danny Mayor as a youngster on loan at Tranmere running Leicester City ragged. Don’t know about him being the best player in this league. One player who has the ability to be is Oldhams
Jose Baxter.

Doesn’t look like he’ll ever be that player again tbh.

Looked promising when he first got his chance with us but he's too lightweight and inconsistent for the Championship. Surprised he's still at Bury, his stock seemed pretty high a couple of seasons back.

Injury and a few issues with depression coupled with being managed by a pair of bullies like Flitcroft and Futcher held him back.

From a Swindon point of view, Michael Doughty should be a League 1 player and is certainly up there with the best in this division.

That’s 3 seasons ago and he’s still playing in league two he must be good
He is good, the best in the division in fact. Played for us in League One for 3 years, depression has held him back.

Oh would you look at that.

Can’t see any Sam Surridge in there.

Bostwick's been a good performer, but probably not our best player so far this season - Shackell, Andrade and Pett all better in their respective positions I'd suggest.

Shackell has obviously found his level as Derby fans couldn't wait to get rid of him.
They expected him rock up at the top end of L1. The problem he had there was injuries after his first season on a £25k/week contract by all accounts.
