Fair point, I know I'm deluded and my club is tinpot.

That's not a nice thing to say about yourself and your club, but I'm fine with it.

We’re all tinpot, it’s why we’re all in division 4.

Not the mighty Carlisle ...surely not.

For the information of the ignaramous Bury have scored over a 1000 goals at every level but we won't let the facts get in the way of a drama queen .

We are in league Two we are all dreadful football teams. Watching us on TV Saturday night I realised just how bad we are compared to seeing it in person, the game looks so slow and sluggish.

Danny Mayor didn’t actually have that good a game he got dispossessed quite a few times.

Yeah but for our level I thought it was a good game, as was the 2 we’ve played against you. We’ve conceded 22 in 29 games, not many sides have got 3 against us in 2 games (you Carlisle and Yeovil).

That is why watching it live is so much better. It certainly did not seem like that sitting in the SS, although the conditions may not have helped things if it appeared sluggish.

Yes Calfman does seem a bit of a drama queen, might have to start referring to them as Calfgirl.

How can you forget two FA Cups....

Sorry but I'm not interested in whatever your club may have achieved back in nineteen dickety two.

Back then I'm sure players could probably rugby tackle one another and the ball would be a brick, but at least they were more manly though.

Getting a tad boring this Danny Mayor stuff tbh. How anyone can say he's the best or in the top 3 or 5 or 10 is beyond me. Only a neutral fan who spends his time watching different L2 sides will be in a position to come close to answering that question, and in the end it will only be his personal opinion and nothing else. As for the other fans, myself included, we only get to watch DM and all the other players once or at most twice a year, and that's nowhere near enough to rate or slate any player whoever he is.

IOW, is the guy a decent L2 player? I've only watched him play once but he did look better than the average L2 player. Is he the best? Fcuk knows.

I saw someone call him the League Two Hazard (or is Hazard the Premier League Danny Mayor)?

Sorry but there's no such thing as a League Two Hazard. It's like calling Jorge Grant the League Two Iniesta.

Erm yes there is. It's Danny Cowley when he doesn't like a decision. The frothing, the arms flailing, the indecipherable squealing. Make sure you are not on the side of the pitch when this dangerous hazard springs into action.

Right on!

The Bury fan Martyn Grindrod must obviously have some massive crush thing going on for Mayor, I bet he has a big poster of him up on his bedroom wall, so he can, well you know.

Indeed the term best is what Premier League rent boys argue about on twitter and it really brings out the lowest of the low of society.

People have to brag about something though I suppose in their small boring lives.

I was joking Miss Calfgirl, the record breaking FA Cup win, whilst a proud beacon in BFC's history is often referenced by Shakers in a light hearted way.

Just to add, us more grounded Bury fans never made that comparison or from memory tried to herald him as the division's best. As you say, it is a bit daft to do this kind of cock waving in this division.

Easily the best opposition player I’ve seen at Prenton Park all season *. Our back line had no chance against him and if you’d needed a win to seal promotion he’d have ripped us apart even more.

Edit: * In the league. I'd done a good job of blanking the 7-0 hammering by Spurs from my memory until now!

As good as he has been, his stats hardly prove it beyond reasonable doubt do they? Joint 5th most assists and joint 33rd topscorer? If we're putting wingers and attacking mids in the same kind of category Szmodics and Brown have better stats in those fields and are both 5 years younger. And then you've got all the non-attacking players in the division. You'd be hard pushed to find a more important player for anyone than Shackell at Lincoln, for example.

Andrade and Anderson are both better than that as well, although I get the impression that if Mayor doesn't play / doesn't play well, then Bury don't.

He plays for bury so he’s gotta be the best player in the league even though he was a passenger in both games against us congratulations on your promotion by the way shakers hope everything gets sorted at your club no fans deserve the off field circus like yours and ours have been run

Why's he so far down the pyramid at 28 if he's such a good player? He does look quality but I'm curious
