Sacked too soon. I know they'd had a couple of bad results recently but the whole immediate success culture creeping in to the lower leagues is worrying, especially when you look at their injury list.

Terrible decision. One of the best managers in the lower leagues and doing wonders on a shoestring. Massive delusions of grandeur at Bury from their awful fans.

UTS, you seem extremely happy for someone who was singing Flitcroft's a few weeks ago when you were in the automatic places.

Very fickle.

Bury fans are very deluded about where their club can reach. I would suggest they are punching above their weight in their current position so can't see how they can justify sacking Flitcroft

Those of you who don't follow us every week should keep quiet. 10 defeats in 11 and heading straight to league Two.

4-1 mauling at home followed by 5-0 to top it off, 28% win ratio in 2016. When Rochdale fans are calling him "agent Flitcroft" and are saddened by his sacking you know it's bad! 3 gutless derby defeats already this season.

And the comment from JJH is simply nonsense, I've wanted Flitcroft out for well over a year, sift through my posts for confirmation.

Finally a fresh start and a chance to get a decent manager in.

Nah you're wrong. Awful decision. You'll go down now.

You'll probably go down now tbf. Might come to regret sacking him I'd say, and especially with the rumoured financial problems paying him off can't have come cheap.

We all remember you admitting that you were "warming to Flitcroft" and such in the shoutbox when you were high flying earlier in the season, didn't take you long to change your mind mate.

Enjoy league two.

What exactly are the expectation levels at Bury? Similarly to Rochdale I'd have thought they were punching above their weight a little at League One level, I wasn't surprised he was sacked to be honest but who do their fans reckon they can get in as a replacement?

8 defeats in a row, out of all the cups in round 1 and 3 humiliating derby defeats is clearly asking too much isn't it?

I'd take Flitcroft, Christ, I'd take Ronald Mcdonald right now, at least he has the decency to acknowledge that he's a clown.

Silly knee jerk decision by the Bury board. He should have been given more time to rebuild after losing Danny Rose.

Tbf this has been coming with 8 on the bounce lost and 2 maulings in 4 days. Must admit I like what he says on gmr talks a good game, but I'm not a bury fan and I don't see them play every week.

He has been hated by bury fans for well over a year now and the first bad string of results was always likely to see this come about. A bit harsh in my opinion with the injury record you have had but saw it coming all the same.

As a side note bury fans have blamed him solely for the bad injury record. Is it really down to him or is it just bad luck? How many of your players were injury prone before they signed and how does he go about training?

It was plain for all to see that when all the players came back they could have a Barnsley style revival. Daft decision Bury, but well done on entertainment value.

Tinkerbell, thinks he is a tactical genius and NEVER playes players in their correct positions if he can possible avoid doing so.
Did EXACTLY what the Barnsley fans said he would, look back over his full seasons record it's like looking in a feckin mirror. Start well, loads of injurys (many say down to over training) and then start tinkering with playing players out of position even when we have players right for that position. AND HE THINKS DANNS CAN PLAY AS A FECKIN FULLBACK DESPITE BEING CRAP EVRY TIME HE PLAYS HIM THERE AND YES WE HAD ALTERNATIVES INCLUDING A RIGHT BACK!!!!

In fairness to Bury fans, if your team had just lost 8 in a row and then been humiliated in the cup, you'd all be wanting the manager sacked - it's the way of the world nowadays.

As others have said, Bury are really a league two level club and have seemingly been spending way above their means for a while. They've got injuries, but so has everybody. I'm still amazed that we lost 4-1 there.

You didn't look gutless when coming back to 3-2 from 3-0 down against us the other week!

No you haven't! You were second after 10 games then got loads of injuries. Have some fucking patience.

We've won 15 times in 50 games in the last 12 months or so. That's relegation form.

I'm just glad Futchers gone tbh.
