I don't think he was given enough time at United to be fairly labelled as shit.
You have to laugh at Dessy's ability to spin. You must be confusing me with someone else. I thought he was shafted at Man United and that then taking the job at Sociedad was a huge risk and not one I would have advised him of, albeit he never asked me.
He wasn't supported as he was promised in the transfer market which doesn't help anyone but he could have been slightly more adaptable in that case however.
There's more to lose than gain with the Celtic job, I'd go as far as saying there's nothing to gain. It's like a professional boxer choosing to fight an average bloke, if the boxer wins he'll get no praise because it's expected. Lose however, his reputation and career is destroyed.
The idea he was given no money despite spending over 70 million on two players breaking our transfer record and was clearly given the green light to spend more had any decent player wanted to play for him.
I'm confused, is Juan Mata not your best player? Basically the only exciting footballer currently at Old Trafford?
And speaking of spending, quarter of a billion later and you're what, the least interesting team to watch in the BPL? Congratulations, I'm glad it all worked out.
It didn't do Martin O'Neill any harm. Whilst Scottish football is certainly not held in the same esteem as the English top flight, I think you're doing it a disservice to suggest it means nothing. However, I can certainly imagine him avoiding it and doing as you suggest. I just think it would be a decent way of getting some silverware under his belt.
The Scottish league still held some credibility in O'Neill's time, it's reputation went down the gutter when Rangers were demoted. When the odds on winning a trophy are at 1/200 before then season kicks off it's not anything to be proud of. As I said before, what point is there in having a honour if nobody recognises it?
I think he would take the job but will get a better offer in the PL for more money.
Lennon's time at Celtic was great preparation for taking Bolton Wanderers into League One....
It may well be an easy trophy to win, but trophies still look good on a CV.

See above.
The difference is Moyes already has managerial experience in the bank. Lennon didn't.
The point is Moyes has nothing to gain and everything to lose at Celtic. He's not going to get a better job offer for working there. Even if he goes for a guaranteed trophy he's not achieving anything. He'd be best off taking a team on in England and going for a cup.

Short answer no
Long answer, it probably wasn't smart to spend 70 million on 2 players whose best position is behind the striker when you already have at least 3 players in the squad who also play in this positon. Especially when you are crying out for another midfielder behind them.
He apparently put a stop to the potential signing of Thiago which only needed his OK-ing, before Guardiola and Munich were even involved. His obsession with bringing in Fabregas actually cost us several targets, according to what I've read. He dallied.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27125115Twelve months ago, they lined up deals before the Scot's arrival, only for him to then back away because he wanted to be certain the players were what he wanted. Thiago Alcantara, who signed for Bayern Munich instead, was one such missed opportunity. There were others, too.
Mata wouldn't even make my starting XI. Prone to moments of genius now and then but the majority of the time he gets crowded and muscled out.Who are these players better than Mata then cha? I'm all ears...

He's one of those players whose stats make them seem better than what they are. I've seen you claim that you don't watch any BPL games anymore so I take it you're judging his United performances purely on stats? IMO we'd be a better team without him in it.
The president of Sociedad brought in the players he wanted and not what Moyes did which was always a recipe for disaster and helped make sure he'd struggle this season. At least when he was at Manoo you were fun to watch as you never knew what would happen. Far better than having to suffer through the drudge van hoof plays. It's like watching paint dry, even the rest of the Manoo members do something else other than watch their team under these days (ask Stevencc in particular). Not this shit again.
He was beyond shit at United, absolutely abysmal, it was soul destroying seeing that clown in charge of Untied and having to listen to his weird blend of self pity crossed with arrogance.
You have to laugh at Dessy's ability to spin.
Should be a politician.
Didn't they have a record spend this transfer window?
I really don't get this bizarre obsession with defending Moyes in face of such obvious facts.
The laughable assertion he wasnt given time at Old Trafford when the reality he'd have been out before Christmas at any other big club.
The idea he was given no money despite spending over 70 million on two players breaking our transfer record and was clearly given the green light to spend more had any decent player wanted to play for him.
The idea the press were hard on him when Villa Boas was given far worse despite being higher up in the table for a team with half the resources. Even now the press are getting on Van Gaal's back begging for a mutiny despite us being in a good spot 2 points off top and having made good progress. Moyes had us languishing in 7th miles off fourth and still apperently needed more time.
From the press angle it's clear they'd beggeed for a British manager at a top club for years and were gonna give Moyes, who was clearly giving them lots of information for articles too, a nice easy time regardless.
But when people like Saltire , who ridiculed the appointment are now whitewashing his time in Spain.I just have to say people obviously had such a good time that year with United failing they can't say a bad word about him. He's being defended because utter shitness brought the ABU's such a good time.
