I don't get what I perceive as petty name calling, it's the sort of thing my kids used to do when they were little. Unnecessary IMHO. If someone disagrees with another poster, don't call them names, discuss the point.
It's not difficult, just inflammatory TBH.

Lol the irony...

Who is gonna discuss Freeman without calling me a 'WUM' then?!

Fair enough, I still don't see why tonight's result would affect your decision, you could play unbelievably well against QPR like you did away at Boro or at Huddersfield. Not trying to get at you pal, just a bug bear of mine :)

I guess the more optimistic I am of seeing a decent performance, the more likely I am to part with my money. If I was more flush with cash tonight's result would have considerably less effect on my decision. No problem, back when I used to go to away games and have a season ticket I'd probably have said something similar.

Well Frank Fielding is a lot worse than what I remembered him to be.

I just can't get my head around it. I can understand you calling him overrated, but why is Freeman always the scapegoat? Fielding, Flint, Ayling, Pack, Bryan (when played) and Agard/Wilbraham haven't been vastly superior in their individual duties, so I can't understand the constant singling out of him.

Well Frank Fielding is a lot worse than what I remembered him to be.
I've been saying it all season, it's unbelievable.

He wins a lot of the fans over as some weeks he'll play an absolute blinder (see Saturday) but then today let in two howlers, even so to the point where Cotterill singled him out in his post-match interview.

His general distribution is poor, his shot stopping can be excellent, but usually pretty poor, and I don't think I've ever once seen him come and claim a ball from a cross and take the pressure off the defenders.

It's really infuriating, a new keeper is an absolute must in January.

Yeah the catching part i saw too. Fairly sure he didn't claim a single arieal ball all game and kept punching it too.

For me it's because Freeman stood out so often this season that his under performing this season gets highlighted as its just that noticeable.

Well that was pleasing, given we didn't even play well. If we'd played like that against Brighton, we'd have been thumped. Which if I was a Bristol City fan would worry me greatly.

Happy for Tom Ince. He's been struggling of late and fans have been on his back. A hat trick will do his confidence the world of good.

I'm glad we don't still have Frankie Fielding btw. He literally punches and parries EVERYTHING!

And the mad thing about this division is that only a month ago we came away from the AMEX wondering how we hadn't won, let alone drew the game.

Well no chance of getting Hamer back now... a couple of injuries and he could be in for Leicester, top of the league.

If people were referring to me by "stupid overreactions" and "drama queens" then they are entitled to that opinion t but I'd say it says more about them than me. Hate it when people get personal.

I stand by my opinion. Cotterill is out of his depth. Last night was the last in a long list of atrocious performances/results this season which have been largely a result of him being tactically out thought. He played a shite team/formation last night and then moaned about us not competing after getting dicked 4-0. What did he expect exactly with a formation like that against one of the divisions best sides?

He may well keep us up this season with the odd single goal victory against lower mid table sides like Wolves, Huddersfield etc but this is not the right man to take us forward. I'm 99% convinced of that. Can you imagine how empty the new gate is going to look next year at this rate?

Who is? They all ultimately fall under the jurisdiction of the same inept board.

It does read as a very defeatist piece David.
If he's going to carry on moaning to the press then he can do one. He's the Manager FFS, he needs to stop moaning and work towards finding a solution. If he can't do it. which seems the case, I agree he should leave and let someone, that may be able to do, it take over.
Personally, his moaning to the papers pisses me right off!

It looks like his way of not so subtly saying he needs money to spend in the window

Totally agree but why do it in the papers? Surely it's a discussion that should take place in private rather than bleating, again?

He had money in the summer, I have little faith he'll do anything differently with it in January.
