At least you only have to suffer the siren if you go to Sincil Bank, I find Pompey's fucking bell annoying, but not as annoying as those 'mostly tinpot southern' clubs who try to emulate them with bells of their own. Crawley and Yeovil are prime offenders.

We haven't had a bell in years

Might be, it was in Micky's book the story about the speech and call the next day! Someone like that!

It was definitely Northampton. Unless I’m missing a joke somewhere. Artell explains it in a podcast (D3D4?) where he talks pretty sensibly about his career. Still seems a perfectly reasonable move in the real world, away from the bubble of football fans where we think players owe clubs anything or would put their own well-being at risk for our clubs.

Crewe fans like to bury heads in the sand.

Excuse me? What an absolute twattish thing to say.

Every fan bar none is appalled by it and sickened that c*** had anything to do with the club. I can’t defend fans who have gone on a crusade against Daniel Taylor and Dan Roan, I do think there are elements (away from the actual horrific events themselves) of their reporting that are irresponsible and skewed for a certain narrative but it’s completely ill-judged to go after them on Twitter and puts us in a bad light.

99% of fans think the club have acted appallingly. I’ve stated multiple times, and I do think it’s the view of the majority, that the chairman should have resigned the moment the Guardian printed its original article. He was at the club when it happened and his response when it broke again was disgraceful and embarrassing. The club’s lack of response or apology has shamed us and the club deserves all the shit coming its way.

There is absolutely no burying heads from fans. On here, I believe JJ may have deleted posts when Vale fans use it as a cheap playground dig, which itself shows total disregard to victims, and sends threads into nonsense. Your twattish post is no better.

I will continue to call for Bowler to resign. I’ve lost all respect for him and I don’t trust a word he says. However, I will also continue to compartmentalise things and allow things to run its course. The club is bigger than Bowler, Dario, that sickening c*** and any other individual. Hopefully justice is done for all innocent parties and we can come out the other side. It won’t stop me supporting players who weren’t even born when it happened, but that’s not burying heads.

Its a strange situation because the Guardian and Mail are publishing all this but the local press don't appear to be reporting anything to do with it.

That’d require the likes of Radio Stoke and Pete Morse to do proper journalism rather than lick the arse of the club so they don’t get uninvited to press conferences.

What about those supporters whose PTSD kicks back in when they are reminded of periods in their lives that they were/are trying to forget?

Then they'd be just as traumatised by the Dambusters theme played before each game (the theme prefixed by the glorious sound of 4 Merlins in full flow) and sung by the Imps faithful when the mood takes us- guess Sincil Bank wouldn't be for them

To be fair, there won't be many around that will have witnessed the Merlin engines used in anger, or our air raid siren. More's the pity.

The Dambusters theme was from a film that didn't depict incoming.

Dislike Lincoln and their fantastic support, no fan of Cheltenham, FGR or Stevenage.

Not keen on Creepy Crawley or Morecambe.

Hate the poor standard of football, referees, stewards and policing everywhere. Real Ale costing over £3:00 a pint in a plastic cup because 'Grimsby are the away team'.

Likes; none.

I can understand why some Crewe fans are lashing out, tbf most of us would get defensive if such appalling stuff was levelled at our clubs and feel sick about the whole thing. Often leads to frustrations getting let out at the wrong people. Hope for all the decent people at Crewe that this doesn't bring the club down, individuals should be punished not the whole club imo.

Why lie old man , your dislike dates way back before I came on scene . I estimate circa 30+ years haha

He was for us! Issue at Tranmere was he couldn’t beast them in pre season to get his fitness requirements in.
He had completely lost interest in management by the time he came to us. His recruitment, man-management and team selection were absolutely diabolical and cost us our league status.

He stands alongside John Barnes as the worst manager we have ever had.

Adams is far beyond Barnes in how damaging he was to us, Barnes was just naive trying to get a shite league one team to play like Barca.

He went to Ireland afterwards and did a miracle with Sligo (I think) keeping them up to be fair with them dead and buried.

His man management was always different. He transfer listed our whole team after one game against a heavily financed Notts County! Worked as we went on an unbeaten run but guess that depends on the characters in the squad.

His recruitment was the biggest issue with us. He did OK initially with the players he inherited and got us towards mid table, but when he was given money in the January transfer window he was like a kid in a sweet shop. We used 51 players that season, most of them terrible, and we did not have a chance of survival with his approach.

I appreciate he has a good CV and is held in high regard elsewhere, but he was a complete disaster with us.
