Highly surprised if we arent peoples favourites to go down.

Lost our 2 most important players, completely new untested manager as well so the "momentum" factor is at least somewhat diluted. We still have a fairly solid core of players but anything above that dotted relegation line will be a good achievement for us i think.

In terms of predictions, tricky as to be honest ive barely paid attention to this level for 10+ years - so expecting to be widely inaccurate but....
Top 2: Leeds, Brentford
Like how Brentford do things in terms of who they bring in, seem a cannily run club. Just fancy them to be that somewhat surprise team like Sheffield United looked last season and pip some of the bigger clubs.

Playoffs: Fulham, West Brom, Stoke, Cardiff
Fulham to do a West Brom and sack Scott Parker part way through what is ostensibly a good looking season. Nathan Jones will get Stoke playing good stuff, he may not be liked here anymore but hes a bloody good coach and manager and with a summer he'll turn them around, in a similar fashion to us, just falling short in the playoffs in his first full season. Whether that will be good enough for them remains to be seen.

Relegated: Millwall, Reading, Luton.
Think we will put up a decent fight, and try and carry on playing as we have to get here in an open way, but will just be short on quality to do it and stay up. Others 2 absolute guesses looking at last years table.

Top Scorer: Assuming Robinson won't be here the full season, if any of it, then i'm going to back Sean Maguire to bounce back from his injuries and re-find his form.

Signing you’re most excited about: We've made one, Bauer, hard to get excited about a centre back though.

The player you expect to step up this season: Think Billy Bodin will play a big role at Deepdale, has the creative qualities we lacked at times last season.

Key Player: Pearson when he's on the pitch. Followed by Davies & Browne.

Fixture you’re most looking forward to: Probably Nottm Forest away, good pub crawl.

Top Scorer: I don't think he's with us yet but, of the current squad, either Diehdou or maybe Szmodics. He looks very sharp thus far. No doubt Andi Weimann will weigh in with a few as will Josh Brownhill.
Big forward signing coming our way methinks.

Signing you’re most excited about: The mighty Czech, Tomas Kalas. An absolute beast on loan last season and it shows our progression that we are signing players of his calibre at the price we paid.

The player you expect to step up this season: Niklas Elliasson. We saw glimpses last season and I'm genuinely excited by this kid, if we can get him into the team. His delivery is superb.

Key Player: Josh Brownhill for me along with the uber classy Adam Webster. IF we can keep Webster (already turned down £20M by all accounts) it will be a real statement of intent.

Fixture you’re most looking forward to: I should say the Taff games but they've been a bit shit in recent years. Fulham away is always a good one and a return to the Valley is always a decent away day.

I'll do my table predictions at the start of August.

For this:

Top Scorer: As above we probably haven't signed him. Fancy Brownhill to notch more than 10 this season from midfield though, he's so close to becoming a big goalscoring CM like Bryson or Johansen or someone like that.

Signing you’re most excited about: Szmodics is meant to be shit hot, not really excited about any of the others as I've watched them play for us already (Kalas, Da Silva) or they're shit signings (Rowe, Gilmartin).... jury still out on Bentley. Think he'll do well but won't be number one immediately.

The player you expect to step up this season: Semenyo for me, supposed to be absolutely quality and fended off the big boys to keep him here. Think he'll play off the left and have a big season.

Key Player: Pack tends to hold things together for us but we need a rotation option for him as he burns out by March usually as he starts every week.

Fixture you’re most looking forward to: Luton away. Cardiff and Swansea will probably be a bubble trip.

Bottom 3: Reading, Brum, Millwall

I think this could be the most open season ever. No stand out teams at either end of the table. Pick names out of a hat for the order in which they finish as they will probably be as close as most predictions.

Three teams that came down look weak or in a bit of trouble, Fulham spent massively, overspending on average players who didn't put a shift in, in the Premier League so not sure that will change in a lower league. Cardiff and Huddersfield look weak and were shock promotions, be very surprised if lightning strikes twice.

The three teams from the previous seasons relegation who have PP still look in total disarray, WBA have been torn apart and lost players since the start of last season who scored 60 of their 87 goals between them. Swansea look in serious trouble and could find themselves in a relegation scrap. Stoke have a very old, slow squad with a manager who needs a youthful, energetic, pacy squad to play his style, bit of a recipe for disaster.

Play off finalists Derby have lost their manager and been torn apart too.
I thought Sheff Wed might carry on from the end of last season, but Bruce is about the leave which could throw a huge spanner in the works.

Leeds you never know what to expect, so far they have kept Bielsa and most of the squad, so should be up there, but things can change quickly at that club.

Middlesbrough without negative Pulis could thrive if they keep their squad and make good additions.

Bristol City and Brentford done the best business so far and look in a great position to threaten.

Big changes at Forest, will be one extreme or the other probably.

Blackburn have lost their keeper and few key men are very old now, which is a worry for them. Preston lost Robinson and Browne linked away.

Birmingham and Hull in total turmoil.

Was backing the 3 newly promoted sides to all stay up, straight after the play off final, before all 3 started losing key players, now they all look in big trouble.

We need to replace Reece James which is a difficult task. Millwall, QPR both look set for a struggle. Reading seem quiet.

Think there will be a lot of activity over the next 2/3 weeks which could massively change everything. A team tipped for relegation could and spend 10m on clever signings and become a contender at the top and similar a team tipped for the top could get ripped apart and end up scrapping at the bottom.

Cardiff look weak? They look as strong as anyone and will most likely go up again unfortunately.

Signing you’re most excited about: Callum McManaman. A former FA Cup Final MOTM. I think he just needs to be loved.

The player you expect to step up this season: I think James Collins will score 15 goals this season. He stepped up in L1 despite early question marks.

Key Player: We've lost our two marauding full backs which are huge losses. Stacey especially was so crucial with the way we play going forward. I'm going to say the CB pairing are equally as important, as defensively we need to be on point every single game.

Fixture you’re most looking forward to: All of them. It is a pleasure to be playing this level of opposition again.

Top Scorer: I don't imagine many, if any, of our players will break double digits, but would be hopeful for 5s, 6s and 7s from the likes of Wallace, Mahoney and Thompson and maybe a total of 15-20 goals from Smith, Bradshaw and Bodvarsson.


Signing you’re most excited about: Bart comes with a reputation as being one of the best goalies in the division, albeit was poor last season. I really like the look of Mahoney, though. My favourite Millwall sides have played with adventurous wingers on both sides, and we've certainly lacked balance in attack for a while.

The player you expect to step up this season: Mahlon Romeo has the potential to take it to the next level this season, but I'm especially expecting big things from Ben Thompson. Easily our best player after he returned from his loan at Pompey. Could be our next £8m+ player. A born and bred Millwall supporter too!

Key Player: As above.

Fixture you’re most looking forward to: Be good to keep the unbeaten record against Charlton going. What is it, 25 years since they last beat us?
