There's been a lot of hasty rewriting of history on our facebook groups etc., with several claiming that "all Poolies would have been happy with 22nd", which, going by the predictions kicking around last summer, is arrant nonsense. Predictions were varied, but with more tipping a playoff tilt than relegation, and a consensus of around halfway. We're going to just about manage that despite a dismal last few months and a passive, unambitious, approach to home games. The cup games have added a sparkling glitter to the season, but my overall take on the league season is one of opportunity missed and momentum deliberately squandered. It's a big summer, one where most Poolies should expect significant squad changes.

Yeah it's died a death. Besides the obvious changes in personnel we'll have in the summer, Lee certainly needs to look at the home displays as they are largely dismal with results hand in hand. That's the main reason I'm not fully convinced, he has work to do tactically. He isn't brave or aggressive enough in his approach. He has been thrown under the bus a bit mind, having a squad of 15 available hardly sends out a message to the players and supporters that the club thinks there's any point putting in a shift.
