So you went to the predictions thread hoping for one thing and came out with proving Adam right? Most fans had us in a battle for the play offs rather than top 3.

As you’ve been there and done that who were the expected top three from that thread?

Back to the norm and doing what we usually do away from home, i.e being overly cagey and letting the game drift and drift, opposition then wake up and realise we are doing nothing except waiting to concede. Would have taken a point beforehand and certainly would now.

Of course, NC has built a decent team over his 3 seasons to have a good go at getting out of this league but it’s a stronger one at the top this season and yourselves, Wrexham and MK we’re all more fancied than us. Notts too aswell were Gillingham. That’s on here, with the bookies and with the L2 oracle Gab Sutton etc.

Realistically the playoffs would’ve been the aim before the start of the season, we had the 7th biggest budget and were the 5th/6th favourites to go up which is about par for our expectations.

Clough said last season we’d have made the playoffs had we not been riddled by injuries and said we wouldn’t get done over in GD again, which we haven’t.

Given size/crowd/budget we’re not close to stockport wrexham and MK and to be holding down a top 3 spot is a cracking effort to date.

Oh Adam as previously mentioned you talked like you were Harrogate. I know Wrexham are very very wealthy but this isn't no David versus Goliath chap. Just enjoy the promotion to L1.

Usual away stuff, we should bounce back though as we've been doing that all season. That was an unbelievable save from their keeper at the death. Doncaster have been in form so no shock here.

Would like to see if Mullin was even offside, he was never leaving that ball.

I agree with you in general to be fair Adam even if you over egg the underdogs title a little bit

Clough’s done an amazing job particularly with all the injuries. I also remember quite a few games earlier in the season where you battered teams but didn’t get the three points.

I had you 5th in my predictions at the start of the season but had been convinced from Christmas until the last few weeks that you’d win the league.
