Excuse my ignorance, but what's the deal with your pitch? bad drainage? this isn't the first game you've had to postpone is it?

We do have a history of the pitch flooding at convenient times (it’ll be about 2 minutes until a grimsby fan comments lol)

In short the drainage is fucked and the pitch is a right circus, the side down the west stand has been crap for years.

We’ve never had a budget to match those at the top, we were 6th or 7th this season.

We’re just fortunate we’ve got such a good manager in charge, there’s always been old expectation of mansfield from fans of other clubs which is unrealistic and has never been shared by our own

Mansfield do the pay well keep the squad small model. Stockport and Wrexham do the pay massively and assemble enough manpower to defend the Siegfried line model.

I went through the pre-season predictions thread hoping to find Adam’s putting Mansfield in first place but he seemingly didn’t do one.

All other Mansfield fans had put them in the top three and they were 6th in the table Forza did which worked out the average of all the predictions.

Unsurprisingly Salford and Bradford were the two teams who were heavily backed and have ended up closer to the relegation zone than the top three.
