Looked to me like your guy was already falling over before any contact and Hume was just trying to put himself between him and the ball...your guy definitely isn't appealing straight away. Just the kind of shit you don't get when you're down at the bottom.

You should have put that game to bed before that. We were shocking.

I'm sure you will stay up, hope so anyhow. Aside from the fact that we have not lost against you this century spanning 21 games, your fans always travel well to our place and make it a good atmosphere at Valley Parade.

A goal that papers over the cracks for us, against a better team we’d have never got back into it and been killed off before. Feel for the Grimsby fans, the result is crap for them and their team are bottlers to boot. But they should just about stay up. Can’t blame their defender for bringing him down for a penalty he was about to tap it into an empty net, one of those things.

Danny Rose is still a little cheat though, he’s never changed since his Northampton days.

Those cracks have turned into massive gaping holes, for me. Atrocious performance and attitude from the off. We cannot persist with Alexander into the summer.

If losing would have got him sacked then I fear that equaliser was more costly for us than Grimsby, I fear a GA rebuild.

Looked like Halliday would have tapped it in if he hadn't have been brought down, but the quality of my stream was probably worse than the game itself, so I'm just guessing at this point - much like the ref had been doing all game. Another shitey League Two ref.

It was a pen and red, you’re correct he brought him down when he was about to tap it in. We didn’t really deserve it overall though tbh, a terrible performance against a very poor team.

Yeah having rewound it a few times, it looks like Hume might have an arm over Halliday's shoulder bit it's unclear. Still, the point remains that Wright shouldn't have been on the pitch. Massive kick in the teeth to not hold out, especially with Sutton going 1-0 up.

Terrible game of football though, at least my afternoon has been soured slightly earlier than usual this week!

You’ll be fine, just about. Best of luck for the rest of the season, the ref was a shocker for both sides tbh.

It sounds as though we've been generally battered for the opening twenty minutes and that we're ready to concede every time Tranmere enter the final third.

Think it's one of those rare games where the ref hates both sides, so he did everything in his power to get a draw. Sole owner of a Leeds and Scunthorpe half and half scarf.

If we can keep it to 1-1 by half-time it will be a miracle. Will need a reshuffle at the break then.

I'm pinning my hopes on a rumoured DOF coming in and wanting his own man in to replace Alexander.

The stat about never beating Bradford is even more staggering given that both games this season we’ve been 1-0 up going into injury time, and both games Bradford have been absolute dog turd, and we’ve still found a way to fuck both games up and not win.
Supporting this club is turning into a chore now and i wish I could just detach myself from it but I can’t and it’s starting to wreck my weekends again now.
I’ve gotta go to work soon and I’m just massively pissed off.

FGR playing us off the park in every way. We look like exactly what we are - a bottom 10 side that got lucky for 35 games and have firmly settled for remaining in League Two.

Oi we’ve been alright I reckon, deserved that equaliser.
Max Dean not read the script at all, the crowd is all set up to turn on the team, so he decides to give them someone else to hate. Deserve to be at least level at half time, not sure we can keep this press up but we've been very good I think.

Wasn’t expecting my heart rate to be so low at HT, winning at a canter in Wales so far as Newport are playing exactly how we want them to. Had we been more clinical going forward, the game would be out of sight.

Definitely deserved. Defence and midfield could lose you this at a moments notice obviously

Alexander saying in previous press conferences that he doesn't focus on other teams, he just focuses on us and our game.

Alexander post-game today saying he went with six defenders and dropping Jamie Walker because Grimsby have a long throw.

Make your mind up.
