I’m sure something happened before hand, it’s only a yellow for me too.
Whether or not something happened before is irrelevant. I'm amazed anyone can look at that and call it a yellow.

Sorry SoC, I have to disagree on this one. There was a bit of a grapple and he did cast him off, but nothing malicious from Bishop. The Grimsby player fell over, just get up and carry on playing. :dk:

Yeah, it's a yellow.

But then again this is Grimsby we're talking about, the club that always play football the "right" way and look down their noses at us for winning leagues by bending the rules of the game, so to speak.

Oddly enough I am amazed anyone can look at that and call it a red. If that is enough to hate a player there is a list of about 20 for me this season.

Struggling to think of anybody to compete with Pearce or Benning though.

Dean Lewington. He should be at LB in that 11 not Benning.

Lewington
11 assists (most for any LB/LWB in the entire EFL not just L2)
1 goal
39 games (played every minute of this season)
16 clean sheets
4 yellow cards

Benning
3 assists
1 goal
38 games
15 clean sheets
8 yellow cards

Close on some stats, but you can't ignore ELEVEN assists from left back, probably a record for a L2 left back.

LOL you almost had me until you said he fell over. He is quite clearly thrown to the ground, if anyone thinks that is yellow then they don't know the rules.

Ooooh look at us, let's make this about Lincoln. Did you know we win leagues now? Pathetic.

The problem with Bishop is that he isn't a goalscoring midfielder so far less likely to get picked up in this. That aside, I'm glad he isn't in because he's a cheating twat.
Bishop and your very own Hesentahller? the 2 best opposition players I have personally seen this season

Never heard of him but I’m not discrediting him, stats look good. Managers obviously disagree though!

You must have been at BP at the weekend as we were terrible at your place. Still having Danny Mayor nightmares! Hess has been good this season though. Took him a while to get going, but now that he's settled in I reckon he'll go on to be an important player for us next season.

I've not seen a better right back than our very own Perry Ng this season. Not that I was expecting him to get in. It's always the clubs in the top 4 or 5. Which I understand, they're at the top for a reason I suppose.
i have.
Last week, FGR, think might be called Shepherd?

I’m sorry that the managers choice team of the season has offended you and anybody else. It’s a tough world.

Nice to see a passing side like Mansfield getting credit. Much harder to play that way, needs good coaching and players to be brave on the ball. They played some nice stuff against us. One of the best games at TNL this season. Bury played some lovely stuff as well. Like Cooper said those are the best two sides to watch in the division.

Seeing how most fans of other clubs have been raving about Nicky Law it's weird how he isn't there.
Still I am not sure why we would bother to turn up on Saturday facing all those world beating Mansfield players....
Head and shoulders above anything i've seen all season until Mr Mayor came to town.

Law ran the show against us.

Glad to see Lowe getting it, a victory for decent football.

Only player I could see getting near it for us would be Reece Brown, or maybe Gav Gunning. But hard to judge, most of the players in that team have looked quality when I've seen them.

Nors will get player of the year, and rightly so. Lads been on fire this year, always thought he had it in him.

Best winger ever

Connor Jennings massively overlooked imo because he isn’t a dribbler of the ball.

7 goals, 10 assists and by far and away the fittest player in the league, his value to our clean sheets even from an attacking position can not be underestimated.

No Rakish Bingham? LOL.
Scored a hattrick for our reserves yesterday, shame it wasn't a few days earlier or he'd surely have made the team :dk:

On a serious note, I'll give a shout out to Mike Duff for the job he's done for us. He's turned us from absolute shite relegation fodder into a comfortable mid table side with the best home record in the league in 2019, with more or less the same squad he inherited. By no means am I saying he should be in the team, but worthy of a mention I feel!

It's basically assault? 100% red.

Think living down south has made you soft. You wouldn't have even remembered it if they hadn't gone down the other end and scored.

You can't haul a player to the ground like that and stay on the pitch, I don't understand what is difficult to understand? And yeah, you're absolutely right I wouldn't have remembered had he not scored the only goal of the game. But he did. That's a point or three we've missed out on potentially.

If that's the other way around and we need a goal, I'd say I'm appealing for the decision, but I'm not really expecting anything. When you're waiting for the throw in as well it's just handbags, like when people fall over before the corner is delivered. Might have looked worse in the stadium, I've only seen the video highlight. I thought meh when I saw it first time around though. I think the justification for a booking is pretty sound.

Forgetting the specifics of the incident for a moment I like a bit of aggression in a match. Not reckless or deliberately harmful but you can't beat a good skirmish when the tackles are flying in and everyone's shouting. I would rather have this than not.

Bit of a grey area that one. Would be calling for a red if it was against Lincoln, but would have pissed off if it was a Lincoln player receiving the red.

By the rules it probably is a red.

All fair enough and I do agree with your second paragraph completely. I don't think throwing an opponent to the floor right is particularly related to that though, which you have alluded to. Maybe, I am being biased here. Ultimately, it doesn't matter a jot to our season. Could perhaps be difference between a playoff an auto spot for you or MK, though.
