Nors scored 50 goals from the wing for us in about 3 seasons which is good going. Always thought he had it in him, problem was Pennock didn't rate him for some reason and sidelined him. Doesn't help himself at times but quality player.
Yeah, I'm not saying he didn't do well for you but he never really turned up against us and he often looked like he was teetering on the edge of a hissy fit therefore I had him incorrectly pegged as one of those players that could take the piss in the Conference against the dross but probably wasn't good enough to step up.

Hands off Doidge Tranny. He said on Saturday he's probably staying here next season. Wants to fire us up. He's looking forward to tearing your defence to shreds at Wemmers again. ;)

Be interesting if we have a shot at keeping Walker if we go up, I imagine a big L1 team will go for him.

Carried us through the playoffs. We tried our best to bottle it, gifting Ebbsfleet a goal and playing with 10 men for 104 of the 90 minutes at Wembley.

He seems more interested in the big games these days and I’m sure his goal spread against top 10 would back that up.

He runs around less now, no headless chicken runs.. but that means he has the energy for the full 90 where it matters. Besides when that annoying ginger ref gets one of our games and tries his best to keep Norwood quiet.

Which ref are you referring to?

Norwood’s done well for us the last couple of years. Will be interesting to see where he ends up next.

Whoever we ended up with on Saturday. Does his best to wind Norwood up every time we’ve had him. Same last year when he was a non league ref.

Edit, Alan young apparently.

Also, heard on decent authority Norwood already signed a 3 year contract and is getting club captaincy. There’s a “large” release clause in the contract. It’s being announced after whenever our season ends.

Ah Alan Young think his name was.

Would be good if that were true re Norwood, wait and see, I suppose.

I was worried when we lost Cook in the summer, as I thought he was our best striker in the Conference. However, Norwood's all round game has improved massively this season, and I think Mellon and Mike Jackson have to take a lot of the credit for that.

Similarly, I did not rate Caprice and Monthe at all when we signed them, but they have been two of our best performers this season. Mellon has a real talent for developing players.

How has Matt Preston been for you this season Conker? I was gutted (but not surprised) he chose you over us as he seemed a decent pacy, solid league 2 defender.

After CJ it wouldn't surprise me if Preston was our fastest player. He is very quick.

Must have if he’s got Caprice performing at League level!

As I have said elsewhere, he is the best right back I have seen this season. Orient and even Woking fans would be surprised at that !

Absolutely, he was key in keeping Andrade (or whatever the lads name is from Lincoln) in his back pocket at the game there, played a blinder

Monthe looked decent in L2 last season.

Are you playing Caprice as a wing back?

Norwood 3 goals against us in the 2 games.
Particularly at Vale he was fantastic, clinical finishing and a right handful.

Can't argue and well deserved.
Ipswich sniffing I read , they will be big shots in League one you'd expect so sadly for Tranny be a good move.

No, as a right back. I did not think he could last the season in that role, but his defending has improved a lot as the year has gone on.

Fleetwood and Burton also rumoured to be interested. If he does leave, I hope he opts for Ipswich. I would be gutted if he left us for either of the other two !

Remember being not overly bothered when Nors left as used to find him a bit frustrating; shows why I stand on a terrace rather than sit in a dugout :D Manny I always thought had it in him for the shortish time he was with us and was probably more bothered by not giving him a better go.

I can never understand why fans are gutted when someone leaves for a bigger club.

I highly doubt he would be going to Fleetwood or Burton, because if that was the case you would have the likes of Lincoln and Mansfield going for him too. I imagine he's going to a top end L1 or a lower champ if anywhere so Ispwich makes sense.

What's the contract situation?

Out of contract this summer and didn’t sign a deal to extend his contact in January despite quite strong rumours at one point suggesting he would.

Christ - I hope the Radfords fancy a ride in the helicopter to have a chat with him!

Even last season we found him frustrating too! He found himself in an astounding amount of golden positions, and wasted so many of them. Fortunately, he scored enough. This season it just seems to have clicked for him... his composure has come on in leaps and bounds.
