You're far too aggressive. Can't be good for your health at all.

I think you'll FIND that most adults are able to complete a sentence that makes sense as well

Ahahhaahha it was a typo you weird twat. Sorry for getting ready to go to the gym and not paying that much attention to someone on a forum

'take the Micky'

Ahahahahahahaha Micky isn't a person you thick twat, it's a phrase, there's no need for a capital letter.

Edit* don't be a bellend.

Looks like we are both weird twats then.

I would take a leaf out of your own book (check your edit) if I was you!

If 40000-50000 fans attend a Wembley final, it would make you think that this might just be the case. Would be interesting to see what attendances were like at the Ricoh if Coventry were in the playoffs are sniffing around the top 2

We'll, they were over 15k in October last year when we were doing well.

Had we been pushing towards the final few games we would have been well over 25k. The city is starved of success.

Yes, my other posts haven't been edited though, the moderators probably agree with me.

Let the haters hate on a bald man possibly achieving some success.

Sheffsteel hating on him won't make your hair follicles grow back pal, you'll forever be bald I'm afraid

So your fans are just using SISU as an excuse to not go then because you are shit?

There's a hard-core that will go whatever, just to support the team. When we were at Sixfields at least 1500 failed to join in with the boycott.

Right now I'm not boycotting Coventry home games, but I have attended a lot less than usual. No more than 5 home games this season, but near enough all the away games.

Looking at the ticket sales so far for the semi final is actually looks like many are actually staying away. We've sold 6000 in two days and the game is only on Tuesday.

Wembley might be different and I would understand any boycotting supporter going because it is a once in a lifetime day.

Once in a lifetime day for the checkatrade trophy, jesus mate you really have been starved for a good number of years. Not sure how old you are but if you were 40 plus you would of likely seen your team win the FA Cup however I'm guessing your not so although your in a bit of turmoil now it's almost certain you will get to Wembley again more than once as well, for a much more important game than this shambolic meaningless cup. Bide your time I'd say and wait for a proper game there your too big a club to not come back stronger when your joke owners finally fuck off. And you will be more than likely in league two or the conference when they do so plenty of playoffs to climb back up the leagues.

Agree with blademan,

Coventry City will bounce back, just might have to be patient but it'll happen.

Also if it's any crumb of comfort. We had 1 season in division 4 in 1982. Relegarion was a total disaster at the time but for many older Blades it's one of their highlight seasons EVER because we won the league and took over many grounds. Big fish in a very small pond syndrome.

Not born 6 years after the cup final unfortunately. My first season two years as a season ticket holder were in the Premier League. Since then I've seen 17 years of relegations, endless boring seasons, administrations, ground shares, points deductions and so on.
If you are under 30 and supporting Coventry you have had nothing to cheer about!

Not come close to Wembley bar in 2012 when we got the the area final of the JPT. Even then we were all but out by half time of the first leg.

It would be typical that city get to Wembley the year most fans have walked away and the year the competition is being boycotted.

You've had it shite then but like I say bide you're time and fuck this competition you'll be climbing through the league's soon enough. A club of Coventrys size you shouldn't be looking forward to your 1st trip to Wembley for a trophy that's as bad as a shite friendly. I understand you wanna go to Wembley and many other cov fans will too but in all seriousness do you really give a fuck whatsoever about this trophy, I doubt not.

Well the club announced only 6000 tickets sold so far for Tuesday's game.
Might break 10,000 but no way will it be the 32000 we had for the same stage against Crewe. It shows just how disillusioned the fans are. I agree we will bounce back and a season or two in league two might be a bit of fun, I've said it many times if it sees the end of SISU I'll readily take a few seasons in the bottom rung. Wolves when they hit rock bottom had quite a few seasons down there in front of 4000 crowds I think and look at them now, a rebuilt stadium and a stable championship club, can't remember for some reason Sheff Utd season down there.
Didn't Sheffield Wednesday go down there also ?, some big teams have and all have recovered in time

In 1981 Sheff Utd were mid table almost all season in our 2nd ever season in div 3, no one even considered relegation. Then we lost a few near the end meaning we found ourselves in a scenario where we could be relegated if we lost our last match at home to relegation threatened Walsall and 2 other clubs below us in the relegation places got positive results.

We only needed a draw to avoid relegation. We conceded a dodgy penalty in the first half, nervey game, then in the last minute the ref gave us an even dodgier penalty (felt sorry for us). Our normal penalty taker bottled it and refused to take the penalty. So up stepped Don Givens who gently side footed it, the goalie guessed right and made an easy save. Our 2 rivals also ended up getting the result they needed to escape.

So we went down with a plus goal difference and an unusually high points total. Blades were in shock and denial all Summer.

So in 1982 we played in div 4 for the first time ever. We started well and we near the top all season ending up winning the league. In the 80's gates were really low but towards the end season we were averaging over 20K and taking 5,000 on average to away matches regularly outnumbering the home fans.

That season we played Bradford our promotion rival and had 24,500. The same evening Liverpool who topped div 1 played Birmingam and had 24,200. Imagine more fans watching a league 2 game when the European Champions has a home league game the same night.

Our last match was away at Darlington who averaged a touch over 1,000 that season. When we played them the official attendance was over 11,000 with 10K Blades travelling.

So for Blades our memories of division 4 are very very positive.

League 2 is utter horseshit

Ha ha , yeh know what you mean
But it's different if your team runs away with the league playing good football scoring plenty of goals. Also that season we played at grounds many fans had never visited before, so a massive novelty factor and it was a novelty to outnumber home fans so much.

When you are success starved then its enjoyable no matter what league you're in.

Yes it's horseshit as it must be worse standard than this league which I thought impossible, but my club is suffocating in egotistical politics, and I feel if we did go down SISU may feel hopefully that it's best to abandon operation ruin a once proud football club and leave the rest of us to start the rebuilding process and at last start winning more games than we lose.
I don't think SISU will leave whilst we are in league one, I think they would consider it if we are in league two as soon they might have to start putting money into the club to support wages and running costs again and for a company who only made 800,000 profit on their own business they will realise to get out now before they lose even more money.
That's my hope

It might be horseshit but it's also a very tough league to get out of - unattractive away grounds, teams raising their game against the big fish, organised sides difficult to break down out not to lose against you... Not sure who the last team to bounce straight back from L1 was but it's certainly not a common thing

Will be 15k there on Tuesday but that is well below what I expected.

Makes me wonder if we would take even 25k to Wembley. People have given up on the club or won't return until SISU leave.

We bounced straight back up in 08/09, but then immediately went down again!

Didn't Swindon do it under Di Canio after a slow start?

When we went down to League Two in 2008 I expected us to come straight back up and wipe the floor with the likes of Accrington and Morecambe... the reality soon set in as we got walloped by the likes of Macclesfield 4-1 at home and it took us a good five seasons to come back. The season we came up was great as we scored loads of goals, wiped the floor with promotion rivals Rotherham 6-2, Fleetwood Away 5-2 and Burton 7-1 but it took a long time to get to that stage and had administration in the process... throwing away promotion in 2010-11 by hiring a head case to take over Adams.

To sum up what I am trying to say... the harder times in L2 far outweigh the enjoyment and the state Coventry look to be heading to it in suggests a huge struggle to get back up.

I agree totally with you, the club is dyng and only new owners of some sort could save it.
Only 7800 sold just three days before the game so a max of 11000 in my opinion will be there.

Will they field a Reserve/2nd string side or actually go for it as its the semi final?

Coventry for one could do with some cheer...
