We would take a fair few to Wembley. I don't think many know about the boycott and even those who are actively boycotting it would struggle to say no if all their mates were off down for the weekend.

I don't think we will get through Oxford and then Yeovil/Luton anyway so not much point thinking about it yet.

I would put my house on us losing to Wycombe anyway.
We are truely shocking.

I've dreamt of going to Wembley with my old man all my life.

I won't miss this opportunity. One that could be the last.

Well, we'll never know how many we might've taken to the final - we're OUT.

Praise the lord.

Again, dominated the 1st by the sounds of things. Second half, Oxford mixed things up without really causing us any problems. McArdle gets clattered, needs to go off for stitches. Indicates to the bench that he will be fine, if we can just bare with him. We did, and paid the price. When McArdle went off, we gave away a pen, 1-0. They attacked us again and scored from a yahoooooo shot 2 mins later, 2-0.

We tippy-tapped it around without causing Oxford any problems at all. We managed to pull a goal back, but it wasn't enough.

Was really looking forward to that Tues away trip to Luton or Yeovil aswell :(

Fair play to Oxford, can say we don't care but we put a strong side out so I think we wanted to win the tie. Good luck in the next round, I can't say I'm that fussed about us not having to potentially trek the team down to Yeovil on a Tuesday night.

1/3rd of all our losses this season happening at the Kassam, bogey ground.

You must have a different definition of domination up north because no one could be arsed in the first half. Bradford provided nothing all game until the ref restarted the game with our left back running from a right back position after a sub.

Having said that your number 7 looked good.

We were clinical in that 5 minute period and didn't need to get out of 2nd gear.

Watched the game on a live facebook stream from the away end, and I thought we were all over you in the first half.

Matter of opinions tho init

Glad Sheff Utd are no where near the final.
Seriously reckon we would take 10 to 15,000.

We've been to Wembley loads of times in recent years and have a 100% record of always losing. So now there's a mental block amongst some of our fans as though we are cursed. Hence our relative lack of enthusiasm if we reached the playoffs. Some actually dread the thought of a playoff final.

The other aspect with SU in this competition is we can't win.

When you live in a 2 club city your rivals aren't slow to take the Micky.
If we added this trophy to our list of honours it would be classed as an embarrassment and seen as our best success since the war.

Some Blades would be in tears of dispair. All those Wembley appearances where it was so important and we lost. Then after many decades we break the Wembley hoodoo and it's for match where hardly anyone attends and no ones that bothered about. Would just be our luck. Even if we won the trophy it would be a hollow victory.

Also agree with some of the other posters about Coventry City.
If you have principles and boycott CC hoping to make it more likely that SISU will leave then fair enough. But it seems weird that just because your club might reach Wembley then the boycott is ended for 1 match. SISU are likely to financially benefit greatly so it means all previous boycotts were to no avail and you're back to square one. The anti SISU feeling can't be that strong if you're prepared to support them by going to Wembley.

It makes it appear that the issues with SISU could be a red herring. If you have success under SISU gates would increase and if SISU leave but the team are still struggling then gates will continue to fall.

Sheffsteel is back, oh dear. I can honestly say I've read his posts many times over and it seems like he's just put a load of random words together not understanding the meaning of them.

Don't want to get caught up in a spat between you and Blades but I thought Sheffsteel made some reasonable points. Ignoring his initial stuff about potential humiliation, from their perspective, and just concentrating on you now.

From the average neutral's point of view, it's almost inconceivable that Coventry fans are still paying to attend home games, never mind considering going to Wembley if you qualify for the tinpot final. Except I do understand why. When we were in the shit fighting the MK move, we had our share of ostrich fans - siddown, shut up and support the team; it'll never happen was their mantra. As I've said elsewhere previously on this board, SISU are evil. Their basic premise, given they're a hedge fund specialising in distressed debt, has always been to get the ground and surrounding land for resale/profit. They have zero interest in football and CCFC is an inconvenient encumberance. But, persuading the majority of Coventry fans to that point of view is so very hard and your supporters trust has my sympathy.

Something I'd like to see for all the basket-case clubs in this (and other) division/s is a factual write-up of the problems, timelines, etc., of their woes. No links (especially to newspapers) unless it's to emphasise or prove a crucial fact. The majority of posts from Coventry fans don't do them any favours - smacks of crying about relegations, shit players, yadda, yadda, when I think it's far worse than that. No offence meant here, I really do sympathise with your plight.

World class post.

Sheffsteel will be fuming when he sees this as he has gone on record as saying SISU are good owners despite 99.9% of netural football fans disagreeing. Obviously he's right though and still isn't bitter about the nasty Coventry fans invading the pitch.

There's a hard-core that will go whatever, just to support the team. When we were at Sixfields at least 1500 failed to join in with the boycott.

Right now I'm not boycotting Coventry home games, but I have attended a lot less than usual. No more than 5 home games this season, but near enough all the away games.

Looking at the ticket sales so far for the semi final is actually looks like many are actually staying away. We've sold 6000 in two days and the game is only on Tuesday.

Wembley might be different and I would understand any boycotting supporter going because it is a once in a lifetime day.

If 40000-50000 fans attend a Wembley final, it would make you think that this might just be the case. Would be interesting to see what attendances were like at the Ricoh if Coventry were in the playoffs are sniffing around the top 2

Who the fuck are you son? I'm a well respected poster of this site, doubt anyone has any idea who you are.

I'm welcome here anytime I like. It's a well known fact that when DH84 posts activity increases. When you've achieved even 5% of what I've achieved on forums then you can question me. Until then, fuck off.

Keyboard warrior? Have no problem saying what I say on here to anyone's face at a game. Offered to meet JoeJoeJoe before but he didn't want to.

You're by far the worst poster on here anyway. You post something controversial, get proven wrong and then just move onto another point.

Your use of swear words......clearly

What the fuck you talking about son? How does swearing make someone hard?

Absolutely clueless. I think you'll most adults have a vocabulary with 'swear words', it's not just me and it doesn't make you hard.

You're far too aggressive. Can't be good for your health at all.

I think you'll FIND that most adults are able to complete a sentence that makes sense as well
