It’s the bigun. A win for Lincoln aids their playoff push and gives them bragging rights for the season. A win for us and its a massive boost to our survival chances and will surely galvanise a group low on confidence and quality. Saturdays game showed that Jolley may have installed a bit of belief into the players, as we wouldn’t have got the equaliser several weeks ago.

We saw a change of formation against Port Vale, with 3 at the back. However, I’m not certain starting young Suliman against Rhead will do us many favours, we’re weak enough defensively without having to deal with that. I’m not too bothered about the wings, as I think our full backs are capable enough (now Dixon is injured). Our powderpuff midfield will get annilhated by Woodward and co and our chances of scoring are about 25% IMO. A backs against the wall performance is needed.

Will be nice for the plastics fans of Lincoln to see an away crowd. Despite the shit on show, we were never not going to sell out, though it’s taken longer than it normally would have. Will be nice to see a full Sincil Bank for once!

Grimsby fans usually sell out this fixture within 60 seconds of tickets going on sale. This time there's still 300 left to ship...

Whereas we sold out the home ends weeks ago. How times change!

This'll be a first in a while - Lincoln going into a game being the superior side.

Rhead and Bostwick just need to avoid a booking in this game, the latter staying at CB in Waterfall's absence through suspension. Vickers and Wilson out, no idea where Rowe was on Saturday - presumably picked up a knock.

A shift to 4-3-3 has seen us become a little more solid but conceding space out wide and also resulted in leaving arguably our two most creative players, Anderson and Rowe, on the bench.

Pleased that common sense has prevailed and Grimsby have the full SW (1,700) unlike Notts and Coventry (1,400). That'll see us at a sell-out of around 10,000 (depending on segregation).

And chants of, "where were you when you were shit?" to start on 78 seconds and repeated 27 times during the 90 minutes.

This must be the first El Grassico for about half the crowd. Are you putting on anything special - an introductory presentation of the Lincolnshire neighbours to the 4k newcomers who have never seen us play before - we normally play in black and white stripes, were founder members of division 2 with Lincoln, our nickname is the Mariners and the home ground is in Cleethorpes? Perhaps an extra large section on the visitors in the match programme as well with a rundown of fixtures between the clubs over the last 40 years that all those people will know nothing about...?

Give us a chance. We didn't get any tickets until Friday and they've not even gone on general sale yet!

I would say that's a very conservative estimate.

I thought we’d done well on tickets sold, all things considered.

Yep, although you were never not going to sell-out. Regardless of how shite you are at the minute (or as it's been in the last 10 years, good or at least significantly better than us) you've never not sold out.

Generally speaking, you've always travelled well as a % of home support, even if the home numbers haven't been great.

I was in the Stacey west stand when we were shit. I'd consider taking a few bad results if it meant I didn't need to turn up an additional hour earlier just to park the car twice as far away, and it wasn't like pulling teeth trying to get out at the end of the game!
Happy days :2thumb:

Live in Lincoln anf I'm not gonna get a ticket for the away end. Bummer. Struggling to get a ticket for the home stands too. What a fucking world we live in.

A lot at stake for both sides, hopefully Grimsby don't park the bus and we get an open game.

Think we'll have far too much for them, should win by 3 or 4. Shame Slade didn't stay for this one, he may well have had to deliver another one of his half time team talks on the pitch.

Heavy police presence expected to keep Grimsby in check like they did at Mansfield and Chesterfield this season. No doubt our club will have to put more inside the ground now as well after Grimsby and Port Vale's single digit IQ brigades went cap to cap on Saturday.

Chesterfield looked a side resigned to relegation long before the 90 minutes were up on Saturday. That could be Grimsby's only saving grace.

I'm going but I'm not really looking forward to it. Lincolns obsession with our fall from 'grace' has given me numerous 'cringe' moments already this season, it's likely to multiply on Saturday.

I'm sure Lincoln will have seen an away crowd when Notts county, Mansfield and Coventry at least will have sold the away end out.

Much like most of the games in the last year, it sold out well in advance. You're about 3 weeks too late for that.

Be around 9700-9800 I would guess as we've lost some seats to the tv gantry and I'd guess the first block of the Stacey West will be empty.
Think Notts had 1500 in there, Mansfield and Cov 1450. Chesterfield and Luton 1200 ish

We're expecting to sell out today. All things considered, the fact that they only went on sale on Friday and they weren't going on general sale until tomorrow and our current 16 game winless streak, I'd say that's not too bad really.

Edit - Tickets now sold out without even getting to general sale.

1700 it is then, all travelling over on the same sinking ship, Captain Fenton at the helm, messrs Jolley and Wilkinson as Starboard side chiefs.

Lifeboats at the ready gents. Women and children first please.

Fair play, great support from the Cods all things considered. They do travel well - I don’t think Fenty et al deserve them.

Why has it only been 1400 for some then 1700 for Grimsby? Think Mansfield only got 1,400.

Half of Grimsby's fanbase lives in Lincoln these days anyway, so not too surprising they always sell out.

'Most'? You sure?

You normally get tickets floating around, people that can't go etc. Struggled, but possibly have one now.

Or more likely Mansfield are 'ickle'.

If the biggest club in this division didn’t get the same allocation as Mansfield you might have a point!!

Seriously though, what’s made it possible to increase it? We would have sold a few hundred extra and so would Coventry.
