I might stop laughing by Christmas at Boro losing to Chorley. We may already be out but I couldn’t give a stuff, this is a huge upset.

Result of the round !
Happy to see Peterborough exit the competition because we always seem to get drawn with them and more often than not get mullered.

Francomb is out injured (broken arm). Bulman may play but tends to have a coaching role more nowadays.

We may get to see Ollie Palmer ? I dont think he has been pulling up trees for you since his move but he always did OK for (and against us).

Casey
Ollie Palmer might come on as a sub. Hopefully Dannie and George will be there.

In other news, the trust have decided to allocate spare director's space to longstanding volunteers. My name came out of the hat and I will be at Plough Lane tomorrow, albeit with a small window to get to work in Lewisham by 5pm.

Great for us to make the 3rd round. Typically we will draw a big fish and nobody will be able to watch. Not complaining mind

Had written off today as a defeat but a really good performance against a strong Crewe side certainly gives me some confidence. Home tie to one of the big 6 next ideally!

Surely you mean the "big 5"? Bolton went out in R1.

I think money is more important than PL opposition without a full ground, so a home tie against the lowest ranked team left in will do me.

Or a home time against one of the "giants", with the almost certain guarantee of the top TV money?

Good to see Exeter win yesterday another game and another couple of knocks
Hope they get a good draw away to a tier 3 team one that television has no interest......Burnley/Blackburn away will do

Granted there is that, but you would also be guaranteed tv money against the minnow as the bbc love their fairy stories + a much better chance of the 90k prize money.

Wimbledon looking the better side at Plough Lane but it's 1-1 with all to play for in the second half.

Piggott looks a decent player for them.

Quite a easy going person but i think you are one of the better teams in our league
More games and the odd injury will help us.
I have had nothing but abuse on finances on here when i fire back guess what it is not well received.
Port vale, Tranmere,Exeter,Orient and Mansfield seem to give it out but cannot take it.
I have gone past giving a flying hoot on here

Not quite sure how to report Crawley's win over Wimbledon.

Although they looked to be the better side I didn't think they were troubling us too much. Playing 532 made us look more solid than in the last few games so credit the coaching staff for that. Add in the required huff and puff and I'd say that was a very good away win.

Watters onto double figures for the season. I'm not sure if he has managed a full 90 minutes yet!

They rode their luck against us on Thursday and i think the fact that that match went to extra time and penalties coupled with the length of their journey home and the quick turnaround between rounds will have helped Crawley a lot.

Took extra time to get rid of Dag & Red but we were deserved winners.

My choice fell on the Shrewsbury Oxford City game but I wish I didn't bother. Drab game and I still can't get fathom how we let Shrews beat us in the first round because they're a very average L1 side. I haven't watched all the other L1 strugglers but I think there's a good chance of seeing Shrews in L2 next year.

I watched the end of this and did think Daggers were holding out for penalties.

Enjoyed the fact you swapped keepers on 119 minutes, obviously a penalty expert, then didn't get there.

A bit harsh on Daggers to lose in the 121st minute though.

Delighted with that. Drew 1-1 with Hull and then won the shootout 6-5. Hull made a number of changes, so we definitely weren't facing the players who'd put Hull top of League One but we competed well and deserved something from the game.

First half I thought we played very well and whilst both sides had chances I'd say we shaded it. Second half Hull were better, won a penalty after a stupid foul by Iontton and took the lead. We leveled towards the end, well taken by List to force extra time. Not a massive amount happened in extra time and Cumming was the hero in the shoot out with two saves.

Two positive results on the spin, progression to the third round, all in all a great week for the club and Alex Revell. Couple of massive games coming up, Walsall on Wednesday and Southend on Saturday. Need to build on these results. Looking forward to the draw tomorrow night!

Well in Marine!! Absolutely made up for them. Would love to get them in Round 3!
While I wouldn’t say no to a Merseyside derby, having enjoyed some Pre-season friendlies there and with at least 4 ex-Rovers in their squad, think their efforts deserve a plum tie for tv.

Their assistant is also one of our U18 coaches so a lot of links.

Hope you get Liverpool at home......Telly game and charge £100 a pop for tickets to the Scousers
So do I!

Last time Jurgen the German came to town it turned out to be quite a memorable night!!!

He can even have the chance to admire the extensive stadium improvements that have been completed since his previous visit.

(PS: Just hope that, unlike his predecessor, this King Matt Taylor sticks with our exciting academy products for the replay, rather that digging out "Dad's Army" from their retirement home)

Exeter against big teams.

I always remember watching Exeter v Manure and thinking that the left back who kept Ronaldo quiet would be a good acquisition for us. Took a couple of seasons but we got him.
