Ended 4-1.

Sevilla came from behind to beat Zenit and the other 2 ties ended in draws.

The Italians earning a late away goal.

I said when Sevilla were 1 - 0 down they'd win 2 - 1, they always save it late.

How about Rafa though, gotta love him - took Wolfsburg to the cleaners tonight, what a guy! :D

Benitez is terrible and so is the Bundesliga, no great feat here.

Just as well for UEFA that only Dnipro from the Russian/Ukraine area got through...

Really poor year for the Bundesliga. Dortmund are rubbish, the second best team got pissed on by a Napoli side at its worst in years and over 10 points separate the top teams in the league.

With 3 teams in the semis this year, it's about time Serie A started taking back that 4th CL spot.

Italy's got seven MASSIVE clubs to Germany's one and even they threatened to leave the Buli for Serie A in 2003. German football peaked last summer and the only way is down IMVHO.

The Ukranian sides are never easy, but I rate Kiyv more than Dnipro. I think Napoli has been granted a ticket to the final.

Sevilla vs Fiorentina could go either way. I believe Fiorentina to not be as good as Sevilla however the gap isn't massive though. As a Serie A fan, I want an all Italian final so come on Fiorentina!

It's going to be a tough couple of years for German clubs. Dortmund are rebuilding and Wolfsburg & Gladbach have no experience in the CL and won't go very far. However, watch out for Leverkusen and Schalke's youth. Very, very promising. German clubs will be back at the top in 2-3 years I reckon.

Napoli v Dnipro
Sevilla v Fiorentina

Two interesting fixtures tonight, fancy Napoli to make it past Dnipro and scoring a few tonight will see the trip to Ukraine more comfortable. Sevilla v Fiorentina will be the more interesting tie for me, hard to call a winner, can see it still being level after 180 minutes.

Think it will be a Napoli v Sevilla Final in the end, with the Spaniards winning yet again.

For some reason they just don't do it for me. I can just see both ties being incredibly cagey. I hope it's an all-italian final but I can just see the two other sides making it to Warsaw. I wish Sevilla would fuck off.

Winners go into Champions league of course.

Are any of them already likely to get a spot from the league position?

Sevilla at least still have a chance at getting it from the league though Valencia look the favourites to clinch the last place, but then again they have Rea Madrid this weekend so we'll see. Been saying it since the knockout stages that Sevilla will win this again, they are looking good for that.

What a result for Sevilla, I expected a nervy tie but it looks as if the Spaniards have put it to bed already. If they manage to retain it that'll be quite an achievement, on top of that they don't look like getting a Champions League spot in the league so what a bonus that would be.

Napoli must be very disappointed though, was a great chance for them to take a lead to Ukraine with them but their task is looking much harder now and I wouldn't be surprised if Dnipro hold out and make it to the final. Been a great run by the Ukrainians, don't think anyone saw them getting this far.

Dnirpro are really surprising. Proving tough for Napoli to break down. Still reckon they will score though somehow.

How the fuck can anyone defend the job Benitez has done at Napoli? He's been fucking shit.

The Ukranian sides are never easy but this is fucking pathetic. We should under no circumstances be losing to Dnipro.

Napoli can say goodbye to Higuain. He's too good for the club.

Anyone who says Rafa Benitez is doing a good job at Napoli is delusional. That result is basically what's gonna lose half of the team.

I should have put a double on at the start of these knockout rounds for Juve and Sevilla to get to thei respective finals, had a feeling both would for a long time now.

Do Sevilla still have the 2 guys who were 'flops' at QPR and Reading although I think one was injured in all fairness.

Benitez is a shit manager in fairness. And Higuain is at the right club in that he's not very good.

So Sevilla v Dnipro final on May 27th in Warsaw. Not the most mouth-watering tie and frankly disappointed that the big boys withered in the latter stages. I don't have a problem against Sevilla but they do strike me as boring while I don't mind a bit of Eastern Europe thrown in every now and then Dnipro really aren't anything special and probably wouldn't have made it out of the group stages had they been in a tougher group.
I do regret Wolfsburg not turning up against Napoli (let's face it, they're a far better side but just self-destructed) while Napoli shot themselves in the foot against Dnipro. The rest has been a whole big worry of having a Russia/Ukraine final in Poland.

Can see Sevilla winning this out of boredom. Really expected more for the EL this season. Shame.

Sevilla aren't a boring side tbh, I think most of their games are entertaining. The Dnipro lads look solid at the back though so may want to keep the game close and which could potentially lead to a dull final. I agree about the EL not being as entertaining this year as it has been the last couple of years in the knockout rounds.

Yep, both started today and Carrico scored. Carrico was injured pretty much the whole time he was at Reading, played 90 odd minutes in six months but looked very good in those small appearances.

Shame we only got £1.3 million for him. Looks like he's going to win 2 Europa Leagues as a key part in Sevilla's team. Was no chance we were ever going to keep him in the Championship but looks like Sevilla have got a bargain. I'm shocked he's still not been called up for Portugal yet.
