Good to see Mkhitaryan get his first goal for the club, a very good one too. A clean sheet and Bailly's return is heartening - we've really missed him in our defence.
Good win for Man United earlier. Southampton have gone behind and only have themselves to blame, been absolutely dreadful and we're banking on a 0-0 draw.
Gutting that for Southampton other night, great chance to have a run in a European competition and they perform like that against a side nobody fancied to make it through. Can see Manchester United taking it seriously now as a place in the top 4 is looking quite unlikely.
Quite a tricky tie for Man United, wouldn't surprise me to see them go out if their league form picks up before then. Expect Spurs to get past Gent quite a favourable draw for them.
Should be an interesting match today at Old Trafford (no, not because of this brothers duel ). Saw St.Etienne twice this season in the Europa League against Mainz (both draws). Normally this shouldn't be a problem for ManU but I've learned yesterday that the French Ligue 1 is so good, way better than Serie A and the french team won't be battered like the german one years ago, so beware ManU /i
Saint-Etienne haven't lost a Europa League game this season and have won four out of the five away games they've played in the competition. We shouldn't expect to thrash them but we are going to play a strong side, possibly full strength, and should get the win.
They went 3-3-0 in Group C and especially the last match (3-2 win at Anderlecht) was brilliant and secured them #1 spot in the group. On the other hand they could only draw both matches against a weak Mainz side
I am watching Schalke at PAOK Saloniki today. Should be another hostile atmosphere, the greek love us and Gladbach vs Fiorentina. Gladbach vs italian teams. Long story....
