Nah, seriously: After Tuesdays CL semi and Real's enormous luck again (and again...and again) I really hope that we won't see a La Liga team in the other final too. And, as you said, I am wishing it for Arsene Wenger too, that he would reach the final

The big talking point in France is the war of words presidents and officials of Lyon and Marseille have been having with each other for the last couple of weeks. It started when Lyon won at Marseille 3-2 back in late March with Lyon CB Marcelo holding his shirt à la Messi when the players were leaving the pitch. The Marseille players and fans went apeshit. The Marseille board pointed fingers at Marcelo who was of course defended by the Lyon board.
The problem is that there is going to be a lot of Marseille fans in Lyon next Wednesday and the ground will most likely be vandalized (tbh, we vandalized it when we won the Coupe de France there last season) but also the bars and restaurants in the city centre. If I was owning a touristy business in Lyon, I'd close from Monday to Friday.

However, I'm kinda glad that French football has its rivalry nowadays. Us and Marseille are just too far apart for true hatred to continue but the Olympiques are both gunning for the same things more or less and level of hate between the two sides has exploded over the last few years. Good.

Spanish clubs have now won 9/15 last Europa Leagues, 7/12 of the most recent Champions Leagues and 10/15 Super Cups, inc eight of last nine. Man Utd are the only non-Spanish team to win any of the last 12 European trophies.

Poor Marseille. Started the game wonderfully but Mandanda's mistake resulted in a great chance for Griezmann. Payet then limped out injured (crying) and Atletico scored 2 goals in an inispid second half (Mitroglou hit the post for Marseille).

Damn it, silly to think that a french team could win an european final. Happened only twice in over 60 years and the last time is now over 20 years ago (and 25 since Marseille's only CL title).

OK, Marseille played some really fine football in the knockout stages (especially in the 5-2 against Leipzig). But an european final against one of the most experienced european teams is another cup of tea and they bottled it.
Yes, the 1-0 for Madrid was a big mistake and the injury of Payet, their brain, another huge blow. But, and I hate to say it, this Atletico team fully deserved this title (something that can't be said about "the other" Madrid )

Nothing. Getting CL football via the EL was enticing non-CL clubs to deliver and win the thing. Like United last season.
