Money is the only reason why players and managers move to the PL. It's an open secret that the Spanish league is way better than the PL. That's why English clubs aren't very successful in Europe's most important league, while Spanish clubs dominate the CL and Europa League.
By the way: Both Conte and Klopp have not exactly an impressive track record outside their countries. Additionally, at Anfield they aren't pleased with Klopp so far. Guardiola did well at Barcelona and Bayern, which isn't impressive as those clubs are always successful due to their tremendous resources.
The Spanish league is hot air. Obviously the big two (three in recent history) deserve respect but the overall standard of the league is poor and it's sooo boring. Watching Eibar in their ramshackled little ground playing at 2mph isn't for most people.

From 04/05 to 11/12 English teams made the final 7 seasons out of 8. Yes there has been a dip in performance since but that is down to the top clubs going through their own lulls. Leicester won the league for goodness sake. United replaced Fergie with Moyes. Liverpool hired Kenny Dalglish as manager. Chelsea had a dressing room undermining managers on a whim. Wenger went senile & Citeh under Mancini & Gayle were overhyped. It's not difficult to assert why that dip in performance happened. The Manchester clubs and Spurs now look capable of mixing it. These things go in cycles.

How long have you been following football? History tells you Bayern & Barca haven't always been successful.

Superstar manager's don't need to be attached to a club for them to be prised away. When you're on that level you have offers from all over the world on a daily.

Superstar manager's is fairly self explanatory. Compile a poll of supporters from across continental Europe asking them if they'd prefer Klopp or Scolari. The result would be pretty damn conclusive and probably explains why one is in the PL and the other is struggling to breathe in the smog of China.

Are you able to put forward an argument for another league being better or is your mo merely based on trying to draw contradictive technicalities. Like no offence but that's the easiest thing in the world.

So they are being prised away from...unemployment?

Offers daily?

You are just making things up. And not offering any definition for a "superstar manager" beyond a poll that has not been conducted, and you guessing what the results would be.

Regarding which league is "better" this is inherently subjective and will depend entirely on how you define it. Maybe you could conduct another imaginary poll?

How long have you been following football? History tells you Bayern & Barca haven't always been successful.

Which team has always been successful?

Why? Sam would do very well with you.

Because it means admitting finishing 4th from bottom is good enough. Well not for Everton. I want mid table safety at least by January.
Apparently Sam has asked for a lucrative contract and all his own backroom staff! As if he wouldn't be gone by end of May no matter what.
It also admits all the money spent in summer was wasted. You can bet Sam would get rid of all in January and bring in a load of journeymen leaving us to pick up the pieces and start again in summer.
I don't believe the players we bought on are as bad as they now appear.
Also we have Barkley Coleman and Bolasie to come back soon.

Well hopefully you won't get it all together on Sunday!

Its true you have some very good players in the team and still to come back - its the lack of an out and out striker that is killing you.

Plus not defending that well but its highlighted more when your not scoring.

Sam with a transfer window and a full season would deliver 7th as a minimum. He's a damn good manager. Probably the best British manager since Fergie I reckon unless there's someone I'm missing.

Moyes is far better.[/StHugh]

The only thing Moyes done, ever, is finish fourth in a year in which Liverpool put all their eggs in one basket, and it wasn't exactly an achievement when Everton''s rigidness saw them bow out at the first hurdle to Villareal without offering anything.

For the squad they had, they should have done more than that, even reaching the late stages of the Uefa Cup more often. How many cup finals did they reach? One? They didn't even finish top half every year.

Weighing up the squads and resources both had, Allardyces time at Bolton and Blackburn trumps anything in Moyes' career.

Big Sam incoming? Widespread reports that he's in talks with Everton.
So we could have both Moyes and Allardyce back in PL jobs simultaneously.

Allardyce a good Everton appointment, but they won't win anything with him in charge and you have to presume with the money they have been spending that that is the ambition. No chance they will be relegated though, or even flirt with it once he sorts them out.

I think the Everton job's a tough gig, tbh. You're presumably expected to finish 7th as a minimum, which doesn't sound unreasonable given the money spent, but I don't think they really have the look of a side that's had £150m worth of summer investment. The lack of a top class striker is the most glaring problem, but the squad has other deficiencies beyond that. Bit surprised that Allardyce is in the frame, but they could probably do worse.

Must have missed Allardyce finishing 4th with Everton and managing Man Utd.

He got the United job because he was the Scottish mate of the departing Scottish Manchester United manager. Auld boys club. Greater Glasgow mafia. Rab C. Nesbitt was considered for the job but he didn't turn up for the interview.

Moyes hardly shone in the United managerial role either, did he?

He got the United job
on a technicality of a legend who recommended him. He is nothing, he is a fool and he is a waste of time. Good night.

Why rush a replacement when you have 2 weeks to get one in?

I also wouldn't call it dithering, more a lack of quality options who would also be interested in the job.
