Don't think I've ever seen a Chelsea team so short on confidence and ideas come to Goodison. Everton were excellent all game, took advantage of Ivanovic, even Galloway didn't look out of place today, I thought Mourinho would have targeted him as our weak-link like City did, but they didn't overload on him. I think that's why Besic started there initially, but his injury meant Naismith got on...he can be frustrating at times, his attitude is perfect but his skills are usually average, luckily for us today everything he tried today came off
Naismith in the right position is a very valuable player. I've always said he's a poor man's Tim Cahill. Not as good all round or as prolific as Cahill was, but similarly talismanic with an absolute instinct for being in the right place at thr right time. He definitely has his weaknesses, zero pace, and can be knocked off the ball easily. But his movement, work rate, finishing and positioning are just class. All 3 goals he scored today summed him up. Playing the ball out to Galloway before getting back in the middle to get on the end of the cross, a chance of a shot on goal and taking it, and the movement to stay onside for the third, followed by the cool finish. I'm made up we didn't sell him when a bid came in on deadline day.
