With all due respect, there are many different people that post match reports stating how much longball Mansfield are playing, not just this season, but from the end of last season too, unless they are ALL wrong.

As for Mansfield being a dirty side or not, the facts cannot lie, you are currently bottom of the fair play league, maybe I have fabricated that too? Funnily enough I don’t need ifollow to know that.

The style of play is mixed, it’s nothing like the total football pre-Christmas last season that’s for sure, we spent plenty of the game yesterday passing the ball about and doing nowt with it, but like I said you wouldn’t know that would ya?

We definitely have a discipline issue, in terms of losing the rag, Sweeney got sent off yesterday was purely down to him being a mardy bastard because he was shite all game, have you watched the red card yesterday?

Thanks for the over-reaction though, and more importantly thanks for coming down a league, I’ll never get the disdain from you lot towards Mansfield.

I'd happily be bottom of the fair play league if we were in 1st position. Unfortunately we are 19th and have appalling discipline. I don't understand what is so difficult about not reacting. Professional footballers should be able to control their tempers. If you're that upset, put in a stiff challenge but don't hit anyone FFS. I mean come on!

It’s showing a complete disregard for the manager how they keep doing it, and hinders his authority. Scunthorpe is huge on Saturday, fans will quickly turn on the manager I imagine if it doesn’t go well.

Edit: According to the Stagsnet report Bowman was play-acting and was simply barged away, looking at appealing. Still gave him the opportunity to play-act is stupid.

Whoops, looks like I owe Sweeney an apology on this one.

Mansfield were a completely different side to the one who blew us away last season. Their biggest threat then was the pace at which they could break but there was no evidence of that on Saturday.

Apparently our 'keeper completed three Times cryptic crosswords and a 1000 piece jigsaw before the final whistle.

It is embarrassing from Bowman, but Mansfield players were up to similar antics in their game up here a few weeks ago.

What goes around...

Give over, seen those pathetic match day comments from your chairman or whatever the next week too, ridiculous.

Who took the pictures?

Not bothered whether he gets it overturned or not, we didn't benefit from it

I’m just saying what they were doing. So nothing for me to give over.

I’ve no idea what the CUFC chairman harped on about either, nor do I care. The bloke still thinks it’s 1970.

What Dya think to it though? Genuine question as I’ve noticed two of you have dodged it.

Important win for us. Mansfield were a shadow of the team that thrashed us only a few months ago. I still maintain they will improve, so very glad we played them while they are still sorting themselves out

He went down easily but was fouled. Probably a yellow.

Mate just admit what it was, I’d happily do the same if the tables were turned.

Any other Exeter fans living in delusion? To be fair the next embarrassing thing that day was Mansfield performance so it’s not all one way

So if the red gets rescinded, as it should, will the Exeter player be charged with shithousing?

Blimey they are all piling in now.

Happens two or three times every game.

No I don’t think so and it’s a major problem

Let’s not forget the referee who just gathered because he was on the floor that he must have been seriously hurt on purpose, that’s seriously poor officiating.

Maybe in your games. Look, the officiating in L2 is seriously shite - we’ve already suffered by 3 mind numbingly wrong decisions - so it doesn’t help when players are wilfully cheating.

You mean to say you don't see blatant cheating/ gamesmanship every game. Players try to con the ref and get a foul, or the other player carded all the time.
Nothing will happen to Bowman, if they did that they would have to go back and look at the entire 90 minutes to see every other occasion when a player tried to con the ref.

That's f*cking disgusting from the Exeter player. Personally I'd ban him for 3 games.

Tbh, the only way we can really get rid of diving in the box is to give them red cards. Yellows are still worth the risk of a goal. If it's a red to stop a goal scoring chance, it should be a red to create one through cheating.

Guarantee within 1 season diving in the box would drop massively

You do realise that we were defending at the time?

Bowman probably did make the most of it but it's the action of Sweeney that gets the red card, not the effect of it.

So you believe if Bowman doesn’t go down like he’s just taken a punch off Tyson then Sweeney still gets a red card for that?
No chance.

Didn’t realize it was defending, usually when you see a defender there you assume they’re defending, but fair enough.

My point still stands regarding diving the the box though.

How on earth you or anyone can try and defend Bowman is a disgrace tbh

No respect for Bowman from that showing from me, even if it was against Mansfield. If proven guilty he should retrospectively get a fine and a deserved ban.
