The ban wont get rescinded based on that footage. He backs into him leading with his elbow and Bowman goes down.
Maybe it's not a red but a yellow wouldn't have been unfair and the EFL do not overturn anything unless it's a nailed on clear cut wrong decision. Even then they sometimes dont overturn decisions. Theres enough in that for them to support the refs decision.
The moral argument about players going down softly will continue to rage on. We have opposition diving in our box week in week out as well. It's pretty rare to see refs pull out yellows for simulation at this level.
You all hate us don't you?
Don't worry we will start losing soon and you can go back to being nice to us again.
Pressley and Jenkins were both rather salty about Mansfield. They didn't accuse them of diving though, just gamesmanship.I’m just saying what they were doing. So nothing for me to give over.
I’ve no idea what the CUFC chairman harped on about either, nor do I care. The bloke still thinks it’s 1970.
Where is that written down? Also don't you think the EFL would have said that at the same time.Hopefully Bowman will be banned now as that's supposed to be the punishment if you dive and it gets a player sent off.
I may be hoping that mainly because if he plays against us he will score a hat trick for sure on his first return to the club that released him as a kid.
Whatever happened to these retrospective bans though? When they were brought in a couple seasons back we had a player banned and then a morecambe player banned for diving against us within weeks. I can't remember a single incident of it last season though. Have the FA lost their bottle?
I don't know what the EFL have to do with it, discipline is the FA's jurisdiction. Do you not remember though? Shaun Miller when he was at us was the first player to be retrospectively banned for three games, I think a Watford player was the first Premier league player a couple of weeks later, got quite a lot of media coverage at the time. The rule is that a panel of former players and officials will look at contentious red cards and penalties and of a player is found to have acted dishonestly to influence the referee's decision then they get a three game ban. Don't think it's necessarily the same panel that handle appeals against bans so it could be that panel are looking at it now that the red card is known to be wrong.Where is that written down? Also don't you think the EFL would have said that at the same time.
I wouldn't worry, he is hardly prolific, his main job seems to be winding up the opposition and fans....

But of course you have no idea because you werent there and didnt see it.If you said Rose I would have believed you, Benning is probably the least likely to do something like Bowman did to deliberately get somebody sent off.
I bet whatever it was, it’s not comparable to what Bowman did.
Pretty certain it was Benning. It was on the touchline in the left back position and he certainly did his best to make it look like he’d been smashed to bits only to recover seconds later. If you said Rose I would have believed you, Benning is probably the least likely to do something like Bowman did to deliberately get somebody sent off.
