Official attendance for last night given as 4381, this has me confused as it seemed like twice that. There were definitely more fans in the WRE even than I'd expect to see on a Saturday and queues at the turnstiles and kiosk were two or three times as long as normal.

Unlucky Carlisle.

At least your cup run this season included a brilliant win against top class opposition, the cup's all about making memories.
Thanks to our two replays we're currently both the FA Cup's top scorers and top conceders, with our five results being 4-1, 2-2, 1-0, 2-2 and 3-4

Last word on our FA Cup this season goes to the Cardiff fans as we've witnessed within the space of a couple of months how much and how little it's possible for a group of fans to care about the FA Cup.

At one extreme is Dulwich Hamlet who pulled out all the stops to make the game as special as it possibly could be for their own fans and also the travelling Carlisle fans. Their first ever appearance in the FA Cup proper saw a sell out crowd, special banners adorning the stadium and 90 minutes of constant singing from the home fans despite losing 4-1.

At the other, the aforementioned Cardiff fans, a smattering of whom turned out and watched 120 minutes of pretty exciting end-to-end football with a 6-5 aggregate win to themselves in stony silence, broken only by the half-time boos at the Cardiff City Stadium, then looking at their forum proceded to complain that they hadn't thrashed us 60-0 and call for players who featured to be dropped.

FGR go somewhere in the middle, as do ourselves, though we turned out in decent numbers for the two Cardiff games.

Drab game but sounds like Northampton should have won.

A replay at Derby and a chance of TV game with Mr Rooney around.

I really enjoyed it tbf, Derby were at our level and we unsettled them with how direct we were.

Suspect a few thousand will travel up for the replay

Now even Karl effing Robinson is calling on replays to be scrapped. I wonder what the Oxford fans think of that.
Beating Newcastle in a Cup replay was one of the greatest nights in our clubs history. It's sad and pathetic how so many want that taken away.

If they want less games, they should reduce the number of premier league teams down from 20 to 18. There’s enough mediocrity in the bottom half of the EPL anyway. Free up four match days, job done. Leave our cup comp alone thank you.

We’ve requested the full 15% allocation for the replay, which is 5,000.

But here you have a league one manager saying they should be cut. Yesterday Brentford changed their whole side because they aren't bothered.

Seeing City absolutely toying with Fulham at the moment puts our efforts at the Etihad into some perspective.

Half empty as well; guess Fulham are just not as attractive as the Vale!

This FA Cup 4th round had been very meh. No decent ties, half empty grounds and weakened teams all over the shop. Sad to see.

Tranmere v Man U might be good if Man U don't fancy it but tend to agree although some ties had decent crowds due to sensible pricing.

Unless they draw each other the final will be Liverpool v Man City.

They were complaining about the 'bobbles' on our pitch, just seen the Tranmere ManUre goals, reminds me of the 60's and 70's pitches of the day...they were all like that.

Club saying it’s allocated seating, 90% won’t listen to that but there’ll be the ‘you’re in my seat’ twats attempting to ruin it.

Big one tomorrow, not expecting to beat The Rams but we've sold over 4000 of the 5300 available so far...

4,442 noisy Cobblers at Pride Park, we gave it a go but weren't good enough and 4-2 probably flattered us. But we have had a good run, put a few coppers into the funds and we look forward to the League and The Vale on Saturday....
