With the draw tomorrow evening, who do you all fancy/think your club will get?

It's our first time at this stage since we lost to Altrincham in 2015 - stood in the pissing rain on a freezing cold, open and crumbling terrace calling for Lee Johnson's head following 7 straight league defeats, bottom of the division and out the cup to a non-league side. Which made getting promoted at the end of the season all the more sweeter.

Would like: a league 2/non-league side we've not played in my lifetime away - Forest Green, Stevenage, any conference side really.

Expect: Wycombe or Southend at home. Or Blackpool/Scunny as is the norm in cup competitions.

I’d like to see Hitchin get through in their replay and us to play at Top Field. Really nice club and a local game for us too.

We will probably get Cambridge because surely we can’t go a whole season without playing them!

I'd like to get York at home just for the number of "RIP York" signs that would appear at the game. How quickly things change in football.
Will probably get Gateshead away again.

I wrote in the non-league section that now Phil Brown is gone we might actually try in this competition. It's been 5 years since we won a tie and some of the worst Brown team performances came in the FA Cup 1st round. Good luck Swindon!
Only team from League 1 I'd take is away at Barnsley as I can't make the league game (sorry Jamo).
The 'banana skin' of a Maidstone, Alfreton or Haringey away would be my choice if I could pick, nothing at home with our current home issues I'd put money on even the lowest of the minnows beating us at Roots Hall.

Weston Super Mare away will do me as i live in Somerset,i'd rather it had been Bath but they f*cked up yesterday to a team that hadn't won in the league so far this season :ffs:

Metropolitan Police away - had to Google where they play, and East Molesey is a pleasant enough place.

We'll probably get Bury, though - and they've got their act together since relegation.

Definitely don't want Salford City.

Would like York away or some other lower league side in the north except Gateshead.

We'll probably get a dull home tie against another League 1 side to scupper the BBCs plans to show whoever we play on TV. Or we'll draw Salford and the BBC will explode in excitement.

Glad we're seen as the epitome of the unappealing draw  although I can't argue that we would be exactly that for your average Barnsley fan (small club, dahn Sahf, no competitive history with you).

I would like a shite League 2 side away - I don't mean just any old League 2 side, I mean a no-hoper that's really going to struggle this season. That way it's not like they'll be a bunch of non-leaguers eager to show up a league side and they play out of their skins.

There's quite a few doable non-league grounds also for me as a Londoner, the likes of Woking, Hampton & Richmond, Haringey Borough, Sutton etc would be OK, although those games always make me nervous.

It's a bit harsh of me to single out Wycombe and Southend as unappealing as tbh any team in the same division, home or away, is equally unappealing.

Any non-league team away but will probably end up away somewhere like Fleetwood and lose.

Quite a fancy a trip to Torquay or York, something like that.

Mansfield away.

More than happy with that, never been and decentish allocation I would assume.

Always pretty boring being drawn against a side in your own league, especially one we have played so regularly of late. Winnable game I guess, although don't think we have a good record against Wycombe at the Kenny!

Lu’un away, literally about as bad as it gets (although a home draw would have been marginally worse). Team in the same division and we’ll probably lose. Oh well.

Alfreton v Joey Barton`s Fleetwood

Some sort of TV Coverage guaranteed. We will be up for it and we need to get revenge for the 2009/10 Conference North Play off defeat

These are the delights that await AFC Wimbledon:

Be wary, they'll give you a game on their crappy artificial surface and won't be afraid to use every trick in the book.

Having said that, they were very unlucky not to get at least a draw against us 11 months ago.

Be somewhere around 1700 I think mate.

That’s decentish for a first round tie and far more than we’d get at a non-league side.

Understand there are no direct trains which may put a few off but should sell 1,500+ with ease.

We obviously got a league 1 side.

4th year in a row our first round tie has been against a fellow L1 side.

Port Vale away isn't too bad a draw. Somewhere I've never been, a big allocation and a game we SHOULD win.
