With our aims for this season and league position the lack of a replay is a positive considering we have a few injuries and it killed us a bit last season mixed in with the Carabao QF run having so many games.

Going Barnsley on a Tuesday night before Morecambe away and 3 days after Gillingham away would be really rubbish for us so from a selfish point of view I am glad there are none but don't believe they should of been scrapped, it will limit the Giant Killing acts to a degree as say non league part timers who go away to a League Club, get a plucky draw after 90 wont get the chance to take said club to their stadium on a cold Tuesday night and have a chance of a win, instead they have to face full pro's for another 30 minutes and that likely will see them tire and get beat.

Not sure why scrapping them in R1 or R2 is beneficial to the Premier League clubs or the calendar so not sure the reasoning for that!

One of those this though isn't it where we all want our cake and eat it.

We're at home to Forest Green and I'm glad there's no replays. Even if we fuck up, get it done on the day instead of trekking down there on a Tuesday night if we draw.

Replays only perk our attention when it's third round against a big boy and suits us.
Yeah but if it was a choice of no replays at all or replays all the way then there's not even a debate to be had. Having to have a reply down there on a Tuesday is just an inconvenient punishment for not getting it done on the day. You've also got to remember that a replay away at a L1/L2 club is a potential money spinner for a couple of clubs in the early rounds.

Reaching the final of that comp and getting promoted isn’t for everyone.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is selected for S4C so they can sell the rights to America. Half expect a saturday evening KO.
I don't think the Americans will be interested, Harrogate aren't very well known over there.

That used to be Mansfield, until we put 13 past them in one season.

3/5 choices are fine, but a couple of poor choices in there. Northampton v Kettering would be fine if it wasn't at Sixfields. There are 7 fixtures featuring non-league v league opponents at the non-league ground I'd much rather watch.

Wrexham was inevitable. Depressing and wrong, but inevitable.

Good. The less fuss about it the better. Now I’m just waiting for some shit kick off time like Sunday at 12:30
I want fuss as we are each other's only true rivals. However, a L2 team vs a L2 team is not worthy of an FA Cup TV slot, given it is a regular fixture 2 times this year already.

Just getting ridiculous now I agree. WSM Bristol was the pick.

Harrogate v Wrexham !! Really don't get the continued fascination with Wrexham. Just another bank rolled club.

Nah I don’t think that one was right either. It’s a great draw but similar to Notts vs Alfreton and Northampton vs Kettering they just don’t have the same appeal to a neutral when it’s at the league club’s ground.

I’d have had the Wrexham and Northampton games out in favour of Curzon Ashton vs Mansfield and Southend vs Charlton.

Gillingham v Blackpool is a decent tie, surprised this one hasn't been mentioned.

I’m just extremely bored of it. At least it’s at our place so there’ll be less trouble though.

It also looks like I was right, Sunday 3rd, 12:30 kick off.

If they checked our recent history they would have seen we have form for losing at home v non league sides.
Although annoying from a financial viewpoint, its probably a good thing that the embarrassment isnt live for all to see
