Doesn't surprise me at all. Brad always gives you 100%. Unfortunately he's just not good enough to play regularly in a team with serious asprirations of promotion.
Wood is an FL player IMO.

Is it possible for sides who've been knocked out to re-schedule fixtures? We've got midweekers at Woking and v Southport which would be good candidates to move if it were allowed.

Otherwise might take in another game. Halifax is closest, though given I missed the Eastleigh visit to PP, a trip to Crewe possible to see how bad or good The Vsion really are.
A few already have done. Kiddy have refused our request to do so though annoyingly, they'd rather come the Tuesday after as planned apparently.

Probably trying to get a home game on the Saturday!

As predicted, Salford v Notts County is the BBC's live Friday night game (6/11).

Really don't get why. For us we'd get more fans making the journey on a Saturday than a Tuesday

Our game isn't a TV one, but apparently 8 get changed to Sunday.

Sounds as though it was a comfortable win last night but we made hard work of it, if that makes sense?!

Tranmere obviously didn't threaten after the sending off (I've not seen it, but a handball outside the area as last man?) but the way we approach games isn't really based around probing sides and playing it sideways so it was a case of just wear them down. Always got a chance with Rhead and Hearn up front, though, and 6 clean sheets in the last 9 for us now.

It might be an idea for us to stay down south after the Whitehawk game because we're at Aldershot on the Tuesday.
Potentialy to play Sunday and Tuesday....nice....

Maybe they could swap with the Sunday TV game?

Going by this lengthy statement on the FCUM website it looks like they've been picked for the Monday night game, despite trying to refuse, the pretentious wankers.

This is the reality of being media darlings I'm afraid. They were on telly a few seasons back and similarly failed to refuse the big pay day.

Just cos you're on telly doesn't mean you're any less of a club.

All happens quickly, but the red seems harsh to me. Unless it's a bad angle and the 'keeper puts his arms up/out.

They're not against being on telly - they're against fixtures being moved with little to no consideration for the fans involved. But it does weaken their argument when they repeatedly cave in to the FA's demands. It makes you question their conviction.

The cynic in me would suspect that as the fans are turning against the board and team, perhaps they don't want as many fans going.

I don't see how a Monday night 7.45 cup match is any different to the Tuesday night 7.45 league match they're playing the week before.

They've asked to play Sunday to avoid clashing with Brighton apparently.

I doubt Aldershot will change our Tuesday game to Wednesday or re-arrange for another time.

If it is Sunday then I can stay overnight after the England vs NZ RL test and then hop on a train down to Brighton. This is working out well.

I think it's about the notice period. A little precious, but I can kind of see where they are coming from (not that I agree).

Should just take the tie off of them and give it to someone like Wealdstone vs Colchester.

Apparently it's a condition of entry to the FA Cup that you agree to games being moved for TV. I guess if they completely refuse then they could end up forfeiting the game and/or being refused entry next season.

A few years back when we played Luton they refused to move the game for TV because they said it would make it too close to their next league game.

Have the rules changed since then?

I sympathise with FCUM and people are a bit pathetic when they claim the club was founded with the intention of never, ever moving a match or appearing on TV, but I agree with Pablosammy...are they just going to roll over when the authorities try to make them change against their will in future too?

No the rules haven't changed, but that's not the logic on which they are trying to refuse/negotiate. That said the FA don't apply the rules consistently, see Northwich Victoria still being in the cup.

Bet you lot are kicking yourselves for not selling out to disillusioned United fans now, apparently it gets you on TV...

Sorry, I'm not in the loop here...what's happened with Northwich?

Also, is this the real Northwich (i.e. the fans' breakaway one) or the one playing out of town run by that madman? I totally lost track of the Vics situation a while back.

I genuinely thought we had a good chance of being on the telly given our FA Cup history and the gap between the sides, but hey ho. Frankly some of our fans are a bit self-pitying when it comes to the media's obsession over FCUM and more recently Salford...I think we should just concentrate on ourselves and get on with it.

Does anyone here know what Eastleigh's budget is? I want to know if it's less than ours before our inevitable defeat to them where Davis goes "They've got more money than us so we had no chance.".

Youre probably right. It's a bit galling though, But then again the media are only interested in the top 5 teams in the PL so they understand FCUM and Salford. They probably don't know what an Altrincham is.

Northwich fielded an ineligible player in both the First and Second Qualifying Round. Despite being caught the FA allowed them to stay in the competition. They had to forfeit their winnings and the other teams were given their gate receipts. They were also ordered to replay their tie against Hyde.

They should be out.

The authorities really do make it up as they go along, don't they?
