Last night's game had an average audience of 3.25 million and had an average share of 16.3% of the available TV audience.

Not bad.

Yeah, probably about there.

Certainly don't have anyone putting in £300k a season into the budget like was said on Deva Chat not long back! Tbf, we've been quite lucky really in that the initial investment to get the Cowleys has brought in more money in terms of attendances, player sale, cup runs etc. Couldn't have gone any better up to now really.

Rumour is that we're in with a chance of the Monday night slot against Brighton, if they choose to have one, which is £144k. Plus another sell-out, that'd take our cup earnings to well over £500k this season, which would be incredible considering that was our budget a couple of seasons ago.

Shame home fans couldn't have had the couple of empty blocks in the SW.

Thanks for your reply Luke. I'm not sure where we go next season. We have the smallest squad (and one of the smallest budgets) in this league and although McCarthy is performing miracles with our rag tag bunch of misfits we lose our best players every season for little or no recompense. I've just been crucified on Deva Chat for suggesting we bring in a couple of players. We play Wrexham on Saturday and although since our reform we've edged the games I would definitely take a draw against an improving Wrexham side. Barring the type of of run we had 10 years ago when we took 4 points from 17 matches we're not going to go down, but the future looks uncertain. Nevertheless when you get back into the league don't come down here again (most teams seem to come back down eventually).

Well done to both Lincoln and Sutton, tremendous when you beat teams from 3 and 2 leagues above.

Not bad.

Plus the global TV audience too.

And a lot of those will have been cheering you on. You probably had literally millions cheering around the world when Arnold rounded Gerken!

Imagine alll those people tuned into Supersport 3 were jumping off their couches all over The Central African Republic.

Got some time to type about the game now!

Bit weird watching it from the level I was last night and wasn't overly keen on it. I'm usually where the TV gantry was, so you lot had my view!

Didn't think we had to be *that* good last night - we just seemed to do the basics very, very well. I thought Power and Woodyard put one hell of a shift in against their midfield 3 and you'd not have know they were outnumbered in there.

Didn't quite happen in the final third, lots of 'nearly' moments, and their 2 or 3 half chances came from our misplaced passes. Thought we mixed our passing up well, too. Knocked it around, but hit Rhead/Robinson when we needed to and didn't become predictable.

Ipswich just seemed to play long balls towards our full backs all the time, although most went out of play it seemed.

Did anyone see the Lincoln fan in the away end, who ripped his jacket off to show off his Lincoln shirt when Arnold ran past him after scoring?

Anyway, cracking atmosphere. Standing at the back of the stand, you don't realise how loud it actually it until you're in the middle of it all.

Oh, and thanks for the congratulatory posts. Nice to see.

I thought you had a really good game. I'm sure you'll keep your place in the team for the next game.

Thought Lincoln were very good last night and thoroughly deserved their win. Good times certainly seem to be coming back. I make you favourites for promotion -- I really think you deserve it.

Not on TV because the TV companies didn't take up the Monday night slot or something.

Football Focus will be with us instead.

I looked at my tv set last night and it had turned into a giant shop window for the cowleys and a big sign saying sale soon on.

Outside a queue of chairmen had formed from places as far afield as Ipswich, norwich, bolton, peterborough and even Fulham.

Whilst inside the staff of the imporium were desperately bolting the doors to keep the shoppers out as they love their stock of cowleys in the shop window but are worried due to the ease with which the imporium store managed to buy them from braintree bargains .

I really must buy my mushrooms from the shop like everyone else

Hypothetical - you win promotion (either way) and the Cowley's have a bunch of offers in the summer. What is the lowest club it is acceptable for them to move on to?

Personally I think it might be a bad idea for them to move on, but if this season goes to plan the offers will at least be there...

Think I read from Danny Cowley after he and his brother signed the contract extensions that 6 or 7 clubs had already showed interest in them but for them it's not always just about money. I know they say you pick the chairman before you pick the club so I imagine it will take a special club and situation for them to move. Undoubtedly they will go on to bigger and better things and timescale wise at Lincoln is an unknown. I do know though that any club wanting to take them away will have to dig deep, the contracts run until May 2021, so compensation will rightly cost any suitors a hefty sum and the club will gain financially.

Indeed. They're smart guys and not money-motivated. What is more important for them is the freedom and support to do what they want in terms of training/sports science/conditioning etc and a Chairman/board that will back them. That rules out a lot of basket case clubs/dictator owners for a start. They also wouldn't be interested in hobby clubs, as the next step would need to have greater potential than Lincoln, which rules out Crawley/Fleetwood and a lot of League Two and One clubs.

Realistically it would need to be a Championship club, but how many of the 'big' ones are a total mess? Leeds have a lunatic in charge, the Sheffield clubs are a state, as are the two Nottingham clubs. I'm sure there's someone but I can't think who!

They'll go to a Championship side minimum, if they don't turn us into one! It can happen! Look at Burton.

When Danny & Nicky were here with us I remember speaking to 2 Concord fans at one of our home games. They were of course sorry to see them leave after what they achieved there but told me that they are both very ambitious and wanted to achieve at the highest possible level.
That of course was unlikely to happen with us, but with Lincoln they are already on other clubs radar. I got to know them both and they are very level headed and I believe will only move on when they have taken Lincoln as far as they can. Very astute of the Lincoln board to have already extended their contracts because when bigger clubs come calling (as I believe they surely will) as it will benefit Lincoln financially to prise them away. Only wish our board had the same foresight.

Yeah, I get the impression that they'd rather take a Club as far as they can than jump to another one just because they're the division above (unless it's a Sheffield United type of Club in that league I imagine).

More than just managing a group of players to them as well. They like to grow the infrastructure of the Club, too, like they did at Concord (relative to the size of them anyway).

Only 250 tickets left for general sale tomorrow.

Brighton have nearly sold their 1,700 so bar 100 or so for segregation, it'll be a full house again.

Football Focus on BBC1 is at the Sin Siro, and you can also catch us on Soccer AM and then Soccer Saturday (the main guy behind Soccer Saturday is a Lincoln fan).

Lincoln will beat Brighton. Danny Cowley is too good AND clever for Chris Hughton, and Matt Rhead is a Premier League calibre striker in the shape of a fat trucker. They are unstoppable.
