To be fair, Sutton have probably gotten further in this competition in recent years than any of the rest of us, besides Newport.

That reminds me, I should get something in to eat after the match. Wonder if I can get a steak bake anywhere.

Seems a shitload of ties are in need of replays. Saw Kidderminster got through, hopefully if we get them they still have the same catering at Aggborough.

Wouldn’t mind us getting a revenge shot at Kings Lynn tbh.

I went the Shortwood game, Monday night on TV, had to park a few miles away and they ran a shuttle bus but was an excellent evening, great welcome and unsegregated!

Driving up the single track hill to the ground was like where is this? Imagine it looks pretty stunning in day light.
The first time I went to Shortwood I bought a cup of tea, was handed it in a proper mug and asked to leave it at the turnstiles on the way out...don't know if they still do that but I thought it was incredibly civilised.

You are right about it being stunning, possibly the most picturesque place I have ever watched a game of football...to be fair, there are one or two real horrors to compare it with. The ground is sort of on the side of a hill, there are trees pretty much the length of the pitch on one side, for me it doesn't really feel like you are in England...it is more like a remote corner of the Ardennes in Belgium.

However, perhaps the best thing for me is that if you look up from the bank behind one of the goals you can see the corner of our main stand looking down from the other side of the valley...it must be pretty rare to be able to see your home ground when playing away!

You can't have Kiddy, we want them...always get a good following up there and it isn't too far to travel!

Whoever ends up at Bowers and Pitsea will have the delights of walking through Basildon, as well as getting a nice culture shock at the ground too

Also if anyone ends up in Marske - Feck me :woot:

The good old catering at Kiddy has gone, unfortunately....

That is disappointing. Shame on the Kiddy fans allowing that to happen. Greenacres they're all yours now :)

Looking at it from a purely selfish perspective Kettering is a right easy away day for me so personally speaking that would be ideal if they got through their replay.

I used to play for Pitsea when I was about 9 years old. Still got family just round the corner.

Yep, it's a dump!

Massive win for one of my local sides, AFC Sudbury today. Would love Orient to draw them. Excellent drinking trip and it’d make a nice change for all my mates to come up here rather than vice versa. We’ll probably get Newport away or something shit like that.

I know Basildon far too well. It's a bit of tough call, but I'm not sure that "Shitsea" isn't the grimmest part of it. You used to be able to get a half decent pie and mash near Pitsea railway station at least, no idea if that's still the case....

Haven't a clue where that is, it sounds like a shipping company!

Its by Middlesborough, you need to go past the Riverside on the train to get to it. Get off at Redcar and go to the beach before the game. Nearby Saltburn is basically a caravan holiday park!

...with a rather charming funny-colour railway.

Marske away would be a nice draw for us, with a handful of ex-Pools players in their ranks. I suspect they've had their chance now though, and Gateshead will win the replay.

In the first round I always want to be drawn away from home against non-league opposition who we've never played before, though wishing for ANY away gane is pretty bold right now. I'd be confident nowhere but the Vic.

The way things are (not)going for us at the moment we will probably get
SouthShields away.

Maidenhead's manager asking for us in the draw, we're too big for this competition

Well it's a derby for us but thankfully not the one Grimsby fans wanted

Dorking Wanders or Hayes & Yeading away for Sutton. Got to think either will be a TV game.

AFC Sudbury away, doesn't get much more local than that for us. Embarrassing defeat incoming, probably live on TV, their defensive record is excellent and we can't score a goal.

Accrington at home; shame as two other sides left were non league but fancy us at Vale Park to have a good chance to cause a mini upset.

Home to Wycombe, currently joint top of League One. On paper that's about as tough a home game as we could've got, but it IS a home game, and they might rest a few. We've got a chance.

Two all League 2 matches:
Bradford v Exeter & Crawley v Tranmere

Ten EFL2 home draws:
Bradford, Carlisle, Crawley, Harrogate, Hartlepool, L Orient, Northampton, Port Vale, Rochdale & Scunthorpe.

Seven EFL2 team playing higher opposition:
Swindon, Hartlepool, Newport, Northampton, Bristol R, Port Vale & Scunthorpe.

I expect a dozen EFL2 clubs will not progress to Round 2.
