Surely our win at sunderland is the best performance of the weekend from a league 2 club. remarkable to win there 2 season in a row
Got a very nice 11/2 on that. Doubled with us at 2/1. Bleeding Ipswich let me down for the treble.

I went to Ipswich v Oldham today. Impressed by Oldham, more than held their own against a clearly better team, but they wanted it so much more. On today I can't believe they are third bottom in this division.

They missed a penalty, it was well saved actually, to go 2-1 up. I didn't really see what it was given for but when the ball went into the box my son immediately said penalty, Ipswich player was holding down the Oldham player trying to head the ball towards goal, Ipswich players went mental and I'm not sure how a number of them weren't booked for their protests.

Just realised the reason for the abysmal crowd at Valley Parade today.
Park Avenue were also at home today - to the mighty Telford.

Wonderful stuff from vale today , even though we really could’ve been 0-2 at h-t.
The accy fans were in good voice and humour throughout ,credit to them.
Where, though are the goals?
Can’t see them on the bbc… any ideas anyone?

Nah mate, we always score 3,000-5,000 in the early rounds. We only attract 25,000 sell-outs when we reach quarter-finals/finals.

I note that the BBC site has the attendance as a mere 3,236. I thought Bratfut were a mahoosive club!

First round in the FA Cup against a side we share the same league with. Am I missing something?

I fully expect a sell out for the replay, otherwise that WOULD be a very poor showing. What’s SJP hold these days, 3,500?

Just paid a tenner to watch two teams devoid of ideas spending most of the game giving the ball to each other.

I've not looked at the official stats but from memory that was four shots on target total...that's both teams. It the first round of the fa cup. For gawd sake give it a go!

The only complaint about the result is that both teams deserved to lose. Having said that. Tranmere could point to a classic away win. Set up with two banks of four and a withdrawn forward and look to nick a goal...but honestly poor from both teams.

Casey
We deserved to win though. We produced the only real moment of quality in the game, with MacManaman's goal, and then shut up shop defensively. You had no answer and huffed and puffed in front of our back four for the entire second half.

We have been in poor form, so we were always going to set up cautiously. We came to do a job on you, and did just that.

That goal from Cass was pure quality. Great buildup to it and a cracking finish for a defender. That’s something we have been punishing teams with frequently this season cutting the ball back when getting into the box.

Not only did we beat Sunderland again, we did it with a centre pairing of John-Joe O'Toole and Oliver Hawkins

Deserved to win???

You scored the only goal so in that sense yes but honestly both teams deserved to lose. It just wasn't good. I know we are fans but the teams are meant to entertain us.

The other thing I was disappointed with was the attendance. 1500 home fans for the fa cup when it was only a tenner to get in.

Edit: seems there was an argument between Yems and some fans behind the goal at full time. Bad words said and Yems had to be prevented from confronting the miscreants. I'd hit the bar by then but these things rarely end well for the managers.

Yes, deserved to win. As the away team, we don't have an obligation to entertain anybody.

We set up tactically to grind out a victory and it worked.

I don't disagree, but will be interesting to see what tactics and line-up Micky goes for in our next home FL game v Sutton.

Didn't see our game as Ifollow can't show them (??)

Either way 2-2 is a decent result against a team looking to bounce back to the Championship. And sounds like we should've won. Decent turnout for a cup 1st round and the atmosphere just as good as it's been. Onwards and upwards lads.

Fairly dreadful and turgid stuff at Brunton Park. A couple of second half goals spare our blushes but at no point did we look in control and I'm struggling to see what Keith Millen has done, I know it's early to judge, but the change in style when Skelton took over from Beech was more noticeable. If anything we've gone more long ball again.
I just can’t agree with that at all. We were playing out from the back a lot, so much so that some of the old boys in the paddock were nearly having heart attacks, we playing through the midfield a lot, and we were going from side to side a lot. There were a few what I’d describe as long passes down that Abrahams and Alessandra were trying to get in behind their defence for, but it wasn’t the same aimless long ball tactics with snow on them that we were seeing under beech.

I could see what we were trying to do, much more passes, but unfortunately our forwards are just too shit so a lot of it turned into nothing possession.

Not denying anything you've said except for the deserved to win bit.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

It was the long passes that I was referring to, maybe not over the top but is it still long ball if you're trying to play through balls from the back? They were like FIFA through-balls, where you press the through-ball button and just pass it to roughly somewhere in the attacking third. Maybe it was the attackers not getting onto them rather than the aimlessness of the passes but to me it just looked like Abrahams and Alessandra weren't quick enough to get to them and most players wouldn't be either.

Maybe Millen will want to take a look at Gime Toure, he might have a better chance of getting onto passes like that, but still... I think you'd have to have Nadesan pace to get some of those.

Leyton Orient's fans have got to be the most clueless fans in English football if you ask me. They finally get the chance to witness one of the greatest players this country has ever produced - King Rakish - and only 2586 home fans bothered to turn up.

Bingham deserves better. Much better.

One of his shots during the game went so wide it went out for a throw too, I was there to see it.

Stockport had nearly as many fans at Bolton than Bolton did.
6,000 against 5,000
