I think we’ve had enough away draws, what eight in a row? Time for a home one please.Torquay or Taunton Town away, be a good day out on the beer
Without checking the records I suspect that FGR have the worst FA Cup record of all in this division and possibly the entire league. We’ve got an incredible record for a League 1 club in the FA Cup in recent years. We’ve reached atleast the 3rd round for the last five years running (6 out the past 7), including drawing Manchester United, Liverpool (twice), Wolves, Southampton and West Ham in that time. Salop fans love this competition you may say!
Stratford was a good draw for us last year live on the tele, ideally another non league side for me. My preferences are Wrexham or Taunton away.
Thou shalt not talk about the great man like that! ;-) That’s not a terrible draw, you should beat whoever you play at the moment!Dion - suck on that -Dublin got his revenge on us.
Got Swindon or Walsall all over it for us though!
York City at home for us.
Slight disappointed that we missed Hereford away by one ball, would have been great to see the A49 derby back! However, at home to a non league team I can’t really complain as you’d expect us to go through. Would say it’s a shame it’s not away but now they’ve moved from Bootham it wouldn’t interest me. Could’ve been better could’ve been worse.
Potentially Wrexham vs Chester if they both win their replays tomorrow evening. That’ll be a shoe in for the tv cameras if that happens.
Sunday we’ve got the fireworks on haven’t we? They usually let us play same time as the lard these days and Exeter won’t bring many for this.Chance for Askey to return to a former club at least. Wouldn’t have minded us coming up against him again as last we saw of him was during the Covid season.
Think the weekend of these ties Stoke are at home to Birmingham so there’s a fair to middling chance our game is moved to the Friday or Sunday.
Vale game can't be Sunday as theres a fireworks display at vale that day/nightChance for Askey to return to a former club at least. Wouldn’t have minded us coming up against him again as last we saw of him was during the Covid season.

True! The Shop and Nathan Thomas from our Wembley season under Hurst will be playing as well. Lenny will get a big reception, he’s a cult hero to usChance for Askey to return to a former club at least. Yep they’ll all be on. I don’t know how many live games there’ll be but I can see Bolton v Barnsley being selected too.South Shields v Forest Green Rovers
Bolton Wanderers v Barnsley
Curzon Ashton v Cambridge United
Crawley Town v Accrington Stanley
Peterborough United v Salford City
Grimsby Town v Plymouth Argyle
MK Dons v Yeovil Town or Taunton
Bracknell Town v Ipswich Town
Hendon or Chippenham Town v Lincoln City
Sheffield Wednesday v Morecambe
Hereford v Portsmouth
Shrewsbury Town v York City
Charlton Athletic v Coalville Town
Fleetwood Town v Oxford City
Burton Albion v Needham Market
Port Vale v Exeter City
Torquay United or Hampton & Richmond v Derby County
Bristol Rovers v Rochdale
Wycombe Wanderers v Walsall
Woking v Oxford United
Cheltenham Town v Alvechurch
3 all League 1 ties. Surely Derby, Ipswich and Portsmouth all away at lower league sides will be on tv?
Guess so. Be a bit crap as we play Wycombe on the Tuesday (could of waited to see if we both got knocked out and played it round 2 day) although I’d hope we’d give Exeter a far bigger challenge than we did in the league game with available strikers and not throwing kids in like that forgettable afternoon! Not sure if they do or not. Depends on the type of fixture both are in. Stoke v Birmingham is going to require quite a police presence certainly compared to if they were playing Reading or someone like that and they’ll probably be coming up on the same trains as well. I’d be surprised if they didn’t move it.
Or you can swap it to our ground if you can't host it.Chance for Askey to return to a former club at least. Wouldn’t have minded us coming up against him again as last we saw of him was during the Covid season.
