Potentially bad news for us from Wilds post match interview, Summerfield has barely played this season, he's having issues with his knees. Off to see a specialist thursday based off Wild's interview one of the options on the table might be retirement. Would be a blow from an experience point of view. Hopefully it doesn't come to that.

Nice to see the lad find his level.

He’ll be a good investment for us, certainly an argument to be had over whether buying projects for a few grand is going to get us promotion, but easy to see why we were apparently so keen to get him.

Mitchell should have everything you need to be a decent striker, pace, movement, couple of good finishes tonight, strong. It's his second outing as a striker rather than being stuck on the wing and he's scored two.
I still believe he's got something about him.

He's got more potential than he's given credit for I think.

Definitely. His movement in the box needs a bit of coaching, but otherwise his touch is great, he’s got a good shot, he’s quick and he’s strong. He also seems to be naturally two-footed, to the extent I’m not even sure which one he favours, which is very useful.

He won’t fulfil his potential properly this year because we’ll never leave Wootton out (rightly) and we won’t go two up top often because Rodrigues/Roberts, but when the first one of those three moves on he’ll be ready to step in. Or that’s the plan at least, I guess.

A handful of very disappointed Notts fans on social media this morning because we didn’t lose to Tamworth and they weren’t able to prove their point about the management/players/owners/system.

Do other clubs have people like this?

The 2 Halifax clowns have both bitten the bullet on here and by the pretence of "we were right but he's learned the lessons we said he needed to learn and has now improved" are managing to live with his success although be ready for a rapid reversion to type when we start to lose a few. I know exactly how it goes down with those low intelligence types. :ds:

Come on chuck, lemmee give you some rent, PLEASE! I feel like a scrounger. :ds:
Here’s the big difference let’s see if your tiny mind can understand this chuck, my posts to you are all taking the piss out of you.
Your posts to the other Halifax posters are with you being serious and then getting wound up on a daily basis by them to the point of you turning into an obsessive stalker.
Can you spot the difference here?
No - didn’t think so.

The majority of predictions before last night seemed to be losses to Marine because we are, and I quote, "hopeless".

Some have been calling for Parkinson to be sacked since the Grimsby game.

They wouldn't have it. Apparently it was sour grapes.

He surprised me with how many games he's managed for them to be fair. Sad news if this is it for him, good player.

I'm sure AJS has him blocked aswell so I'm not entirely sure why he's still responding to us

Played most of the games for us first season so you can understand us maybe thinking he might be over his problems.

I think the only poster on Red Passion not predicting a defeat last night was Chipmunx.

With us he was diabolical for about a season and three quarters then the last quarter of that second season (when Jolley took over) Summerfield was suddenly brilliant, to the point that he actually got offered another contract but then he was stalling over it so the contract offer was taken away.

Summerfield performing well at this level is a great argument for the gap between League 2 and NL being bigger than people give it credit for

I mean, he has only played (checks notes) around 350 football league games, including 70 in the Championship.

he has dropped down the leagues over the years but not in a quick manner, so yes i think its an unfair comment. A solid lower league player is probably the best description?

Yeah. You don’t play that many games in the league without being a decent footballer.

I wouldn’t say it was sour grapes. More that half of Wrexham ban base were saying his legs were gone and he was past it etc. Was class for us last season and ran around like a mad man at times.

It would be such a shame if he has to bow out not on his own terms. A fully fit Summerfield is a top end NL midfielder imo. Maybe slightly bias but not seen many better midfielders than him in this league over the last season or so he’s been with us.

Playing shite for Grimsby in the league is just normal behaviour for any player isn't it?
Whilst true, I’ll be refusing to take an opinion of the standard of the football league from a club who haven’t been there for 13 years
