Think West brom at home is pretty shit tbh even if we get through.

Reduced ground capacity so no big pay day even though it will sell out. Also the baggies are a bit underwhelming as far as premiershite opposition go.

It's not the worst draw for us but generally this is a piss poor set of third round games.

I supoose a positive of such an uninspiringly flat and dull draw of Cardiff away is that it won't excite or distract the fans Over the Christmas period.

It's a bit like Jim Bowen "look what you could have won" and the bloody speedboat would still have been more appealing

Reading at Home for us is shite. 3rd time we've drawn them in 8 years. At least there's a bit more chance of winning this tie than if we'd drawn one of the top Premier clubs, I'm not holding my breath though.

Preston at home is nothing special but it's winnable if everyone is fully fit, mind you they should bring a fair few so more money in the bank :£

Crap draw for Mansfield, I’m sure we will give Cardiff a good game though.

TBF Cardiff is a decent night out, as you may remember from the play-off final. Also, if Warnock underestimates us and plays youth/second string, you never know.

Tricky game, would have preferred a home tie.

I agree with the second point, but there’s no way I’m going up to Cardiff for this game and a night out.

What the deal with Bradford and Port Vale here, is there some history there as they don't strike me as obvious rivals?

There isn't one as far as I am aware... we've just got so bored of each other considering we've playing each other in all but 1 of the last 15 seasons including a couple of JPT ties on top of that.

i'd only go on a night out in Cardiff if Charlotte Church was performing a strip show

We've got 4 injured and 3 suspended for Tuesday so we'll be playing a few kids. Not looking good.

At 10.30am yesterday we had 16 people according to my mate who goes every game booked up on the coach from vale going to Yeovil on Tuesday so can't see many going that probably about 80.

Crap weather and played there weeks before with Carlisle and Colchester in the league both away within the next ten days after so unsurprised. Literally three longest trips with the far Northern one sandwiched between the two Southern ones.

Didn’t plan that well when we gifted Yeovil a replay. Fancy us to win it though with Whitfield back.

£10 per adult at St James' Park - can't help thinking we may have missed out on a few more quid there. But sensible considering it costs £100 return on the train for Luton fans.

Hopefully it might guarantee a bigger attendance. The last couple of years, the Toon have had 30ish thousand through the door at this stage.

We had them in 2005 and there was 41,000 there in the 3rd round

Won't be at the game tomorrow - if it's even on - but I hope we can progress by any means possible. Our season has been and continues to be dull, so a little cup run would be ideal to keep some interest.

Just a look at Gillingham's forum where they are making predictions for tonight.

They all seem to be predicting someone called Grant to score for us. Have we signed someone and only announced it to the Gills fans?

Irrelevant anyway, it's been postponed.

Frozen pitch apparently, the club were certain the pitch would be fine as it's been under cover since Friday and they were saying yesterday it looked fine, but I guess the long distance Gillingham will have to travel has been taken into account when postponing it.

Will never forget the time we called the match at home to Torquay 10 minutes before the game was due to KO, they had Leroy Resenior as manager at the time - was not amused.

There’s no way the pitch will have been fine in these temperatures. They were probably just leaving it til today incase there was a slight temperatures rise.

Anyway, first game we’ve had frozen off since 2010. Shows how cold it’s been!

MK Dons did that to us once. Also Stevenage, that was when Westley was their manager, I don't think it was so late the fans had already gotten there but late enough. Remembered mainly because it was the result of some skullduggery on Westley's part. We were in the L1 promotion battle with them and we were on good form while they had a couple of injuries. Somehow, by some totally uncharacteristic oversight on the part of the Stevenage groundstaff, they didn't pull the covers all the way across the pitch and come the morning the pitch was unplayable just in one corner that had been left uncovered. Westley feigned annoyance at his groundstaff and said how fired up for the match his team had been and denied that this had all been very convenient for him.

Stevenage beat us in the rearranged match.

Don't know, it's a nice enough day today and we have the very best in pitch management. I think if required to we could get the match on but that would mean the Gillingham fans setting off now while we get to work on the currently icy looking pitch. Which we can't really expect of them.

As far as I know we lost a lot of the equipment in the floods including that Geofleece cover we had and none or hardly any of it has been replaced.

Don't think its common sense at all. Got a far bigger game this weekend at home to Crawley. Now, we're faced with playing them on short rest whilst they've had a whole week off. Not to mention if the game goes into extra time as well.

Unless the FA insisted we had to try and get the game played this week, we should have moved it back a week.
