Lol.

On national tv too.

Least the chairman got his replay and tv money to be publicly humiliated infront of the nation. Fair play to hardy.

We are great, though. Won 4-1 in front of our biggest crowd in a generation four days ago, randomly decide to change the line up and formation for no apparent reason to lose 8-1 on national tv. What a club. :10:

Nolan lack of experience might cost ya for the rest of the season.

This result will be hugely damaging for morale.

There's just as much chance it does the complete opposite.

4-4-2 and Jones, Tootle, Hewitt and Ameobi come back in at the weekend and we're suddenly fine again. Take it for what it was, a nice little earner and a bit of a harsh learning experience for Nolan.

Noble has barely played since he came back, hasn’t looked match fit when he has featured (understandably I suppose).

Goes one of two ways tonight, either it’ll galvanise us and it really is the end of Nolan’s fucking about or this is all gonna go wrong. The pressure they’ve put on themselves to go to Barnet and win well on Saturday now is massive.

Absolute tonking.
But, second choice LB and RB. Our best midfielder out and no Ameobi up front to make the ball stick.
The squad can't cope against a resurgent Premier league side with half our strongest defence and our most energetic midfielder out.
Thought we'd lose by four, eight was painful.
Fair play to the fans who travelled.

Jacob, they don't have to win well, just a scrappy 1-0 is plenty good enough.

Agreed, that would do fine. I am worried about us doing what we’ve been doing every week and starting like we’re in a coma, going 1-0 down inside the first 20 minutes, though.

The tolerance for that against the team bottom of the league when you’ve just been done 8-1 on tele isn’t going to be particularly high...

8-1 Jesus Christ well done Notts County for embarrassing this league. Swansea's 2nd string is basically a league 1 club haha ridiculous result.

Take the money, take positives from the run and focus on the league.

I think had the average county fan would have taken the 4th round, tv twice and the coverage hardy wanted they'd have laughed and said "yes please".

Like us with Liverpool in the conference (where we won 21 out of 26 games from then on in) it's best to get knocked out at the right stage and refocus

Don't worry, you have plenty of company in the tonking club in this division. :bdick:

Nolan will definitely have the players up or Saturday. Soon as i saw Virtue and a 451 I knew it was game over. Stead can't play in that formation and we don't have the pace to play it. 442 to two big men works for us because of our lack of pace

Hope Newport do themselves justice tonight, they were brilliant in the first game.

Kevin Nolan was asked if he wanted a burger to eat on the coach home last night but he said no thanks, I've already 8-1.

I like it when commentators know their stuff.

"Nicknamed the exiles, having spent 25 years outside the football league."

No that's not why. :ffs:

Don’t worry they are all coming out now.
On talking about the trip to Barnet Nolan was asked if another defeat would cause the season to collapse. He said “another defeat... I’d 8-1”

Not embarassed so far, they've worked bloody hard but Spurs playing at a tempo that's hard to compete with. Most Championship sids would struggle to be doing any better, let alone a league 2 one.

Yeah, they've done well. Not easy on a big pitch with a surface that suits technical players who can knock it around easily.

I just wish the commentators would shut up about bloody VAR. It's incredibly dull. They've even got Graham Poll in the commentary box to give his opinions on contentious decisions. :ffs:

Apparently Spurs once battered Crewe 13-2 in a cup replay!!!

Makes County's result last night look fairly decent.
