Mehhh I'm not sure really. I get it but I think six is plenty. Not nice but I don't think it's comparable to racism, biting etc. and much worse than leg breakers.

Just stupid, horrible and has a huge impact on our season. He's an emotional player which is no excuse but we do get benefits from that attitude at other times too.

Standard punishment for spitting I believe, Jonny Evans and cisse if I recall correctly both got 6 games for spitting at each other

Ugh, a Tuesday night away in Swansea is the last thing we need. Would rather we lost than drew.

Really? If it was tight in the league I might agree but we are walking it.

We don't really have any injuries at the moment and have great strength in depth, can't remember the last time we were able to make so many changes and still field a very strong side. Excellent opportunity for those on the fringes to get some more minutes.

Not saying it didn't happen today but the Vale claims were proven false...at least what Brown said anyway. Video shows no altercation between the two players at all within ten mins of Brown's report.

But yeah, fucking stupid and even worse when he's your best player. I know how Liverpool fans felt now with Suarez (minus the t shirt)

Brown said it happened in the 40th minute...video showed both players ten mins either side and absolutely no comings together so either Brown got his times wrong or it didn't happen. Odd there was no issue at the time if it did...not saying it categorically didn't but didn't quite add up really.

Agree it was a bizarre line up. The fact they've won 3 of the last 4 FA Cups suggests that Wenger does take it seriously and believes that the team he fielded had enough about them. Before the game looking at it, I said we had a chance. Mertesacker is absolutely finished.

Not sure what Wenger was thinking, we ran them close last season and they were bailed out by an 89th minute Giroud goal.

You would think that would be a wake up call considering Mustafi, Monreal, Ramsey, Xhaka, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Giroud started that night.
