Looks a decent draw on paper, but I know little about either side to be honest.

What an absolutely awful draw after watching our worst ever performance against Stourbridge I was looking forward to a Trophy run and having some sucess this season but the FA Gods were not kind today

Hopefully Gloucester beat Chelmsford in their replay tomorrow. Looks a tasty tie if they do.

Buxton my most local non league team. Managed by Martin MacIntosh, had a few clubs in the north west during playing days. Got Ricky Ravenhill and Derek Niven in centre of their midfield I think. Been targeting promotion from Evostik Prem for last few years now but always seem to come up just short. Big slope across the pitch st Silverlands, won numerous cup finals on their myself but always hated playing there, Decent bar in the ground though. Any mither and your straight out over the road to Buxton cop shop into the cells! Good few pubs in centre of Buxton nowadays too.

Home to Bognor. Winnable, but the Rocks are usually a handy side so definitely tricky.

Rubbish tie, we'll lose 2-0 against a cheating Eastleigh side in front of 1000.
Guess it leaves us to concentrate on the league...

I'm generally in favour of giving the trophy a go. But sod that for a lark. Play the kids.

How unlucky is that!

On a side note, I see Torquay potentially have Chesham. We'll see how they get on if Chesham get through...

Some interesting ties there though, the obvious one being Tranmere - Wrexham

EDIT: Missed out Cheltenham - Gloucester potentially too! Big one

Leamington at home. They gave us a scare last time they played at Moss Lane, in a game notable for being Danny Higginbotham's first (and penultimate) game for Alty. Bit of a banana skin really.

Away to Boreham Wood. A return to the scene where this season ended for us. Hopefully three more players don't get injured there.

Oxford City away. For fucks sake.

At least it's winnable.

I would happily swap that fixture for ours against Havant and Waterlooville...even if it meant we had to go to Oxford on successive weekends!

Nah, you're alright mate. Getting bored of going to Havant.

At least Oxford is a new ground for me, although we are playing them in the league in a couple of months so not too happy about having to go there twice.

Not sure how I feel about drawing (at least potentially) my home town team vs the club I support, the two clubs get on very well now so it will be a very strange fixture.

Finally (assuming they beat Chelmsford) I will get to witness a proper Golden Valley derby. I've seen us play them 5 times, but those have either been friendlies or Gloucestershire Cup games in which we played our kids. The only time I had a chance to see a League fixture was Boxing Day in 1995, but it was called off due to a frozen pitch. Every other time in my first 3 seasons supporting the club my uncle was unable to take me.

We'll still rest a few players, and Johnson has already said that Callum Kitscha will be playing in goal. Paul Baker has hinted at reduced prices as well so we might even see a decent crowd.

Bring it on!!!

Away to Grimsby Town. Buzzed for this one 'The Omar Bogle Derby'.

Hmm, his location says Gloucester but he might have moved there from Cheltenham...or automatically assumed that it being a rugby city there was no football available!

He called them his home-town team in his post, although I take your point about him not knowing about them.

Our only chance is if 'The Vision' can't be bothered with the trophy and only have eyes for the league...

I live in Barnwood and have supported CTFC for almost fifteen years, I know a lot of similar people, like me who live in Gloucester and support the Robins. When I was at school quite a few of us would go over to Whaddon Road to watch football, the majority however preferred rugby or followed one of the Premiership sides.

I have nothing against Gloucester City but I cannot imagine the two clubs being genuine rivals. The ideal scenario for me is that we (CTFC) win and the Tigers come back to the city and avoid relegation from the national league north this season. Even the CTFC Chairman has said the clubs are very friendly now so hopefully both sets of fans enjoy the day - it will certainly be interesting to see how many fans Gloucester City can bring over for this one as very few people in the city seem to care about their fate.

We are offering free coach travel. Great, can't wait for all the mongs to come out.

Can't see us taking many more than 300 though.

We will have Dale Bennett available for selection on Sunday as his red card from Saturday has been rescinded.

Thats only fair, it was never a sending off, however, our player got a yellow in the same incident when he clearly took the ball and we also had a player sent off for at worst a yellow card offence, not heard if our appeal has been decided yet, have you?

Did he, looks like a dangerous tackle to me.

Agree that O'Keefe's was probably only a yellow, hopefully it gets downgraded.
