Thats how to mislead people, that still picture is after Simon had played the ball and your player hadnt touched the ball by then. Has Bennet got a yellow instead then?

Fair enough, I wasn't saying Richman should have been sent off, but I do think that the way he went in was slightly reckless.

Haven't heard yet if it's been reduced to a yellow or not, the ref gave the free kick our way, so I'm not sure why Bennett should get a yellow as he was deemed to have not committed the foul and his reaction was not deserving of one imo.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if we somehow contrived to lose this fixture..

I live in Barnwood and have supported CTFC for almost fifteen years, I know a lot of similar people, like me who live in Gloucester and support the Robins. When I was at school quite a few of us would go over to Whaddon Road to watch football, the majority however preferred rugby or followed one of the Premiership sides.

I have nothing against Gloucester City but I cannot imagine the two clubs being genuine rivals. The ideal scenario for me is that we (CTFC) win and the Tigers come back to the city and avoid relegation from the national league north this season. Even the CTFC Chairman has said the clubs are very friendly now so hopefully both sets of fans enjoy the day - it will certainly be interesting to see how many fans Gloucester City can bring over for this one as very few people in the city seem to care about their fate.

Chelmsford it is then, big shame to miss out on giving Glos a good thumping.

It's typical Gloucester isn't it.

I'm not sure there is an unluckier club anywhere in the country.

I am 29. Anyway I am relieved we are not playing them but genuinely wish the Tigers well for the season and hopefully the council back them for a new ground so they can survive long term at their current level.

Really? Surprised by that imagined you'd be younger with that point of view. Anyway it's not about the council it's about the club submitting a fit for purpose planning application in a area that floods. That's something they've failed to do consistently for over 8 years now.

We were promised the ground would go to the council in October for full planning approval, this was then "delayed" but will go in November instead. It's now December and nothing. Fans have voted with their feet. Why should we give a damn when we are disregarded so often? Less than 200 there yesterday because people have had enough of the constant BS.

I don't agree one iota that people in this City don't care about the club, a lot do. There's three issues (all interlinked) putting people off.

1. The ground fiasco. 8 and a half years in exile now.
2. Total lack of ambition.
3. The ownership

All of those come down to Eamonn McGurk (club owner) lack of interest in the football club and seeing it as a means to an end in turning the Meadow Park land profitable. That's all they've tried to do since owning the club in 1999.

As for on the field I didn't go, for the reasons above, but what I was told was that we bottled it basically against ten men. I don't think Tim Harrisnis the right manager but what sane man would want to come in and work with what we have? I honestly think we need to do a Hereford, get back to the City, share with Tuffley Rovers to start off and f**k the owners out of our club for good. They've ruined us.

Bennet had his red rescinded which I agree with, but his reaction to the incident helped get our player a yellow who never raised his foot and took the ball. But O'Keefe didnt get his red card rescinded despite everyone apart from the ref agreeing it was a yellow at most, this was because the video was of poor quality and not enough to overturn the refs view, thats the way it goes and we will just have to accept it. Alty's first sending offs for about a year, the second one was our players own stupidity and now were down to kids for the big FA cup game on Sunday :ohn:

To be fair our cameraman was filming from the opposite side and the weather was pretty bad, so visibility was always going to be an issue. We used to have someone filming from the main stand in case we needed to appeal decisions, not sure why this stopped. Our highlights are not at the same standard as Alty TV, it has to be said.

I was near O'Keefe's tackle, and I didn't think it was a red. Not happy with Guthrie's reaction tbh, should take a leaf out of some of our more experienced players books and concentrate on the game rather then whinging and diving. It wasn't a dirty game and the ref should have taken into account the conditions when judging some of the challenges.

Hopefully this poor decision doesn't cost you, is O'Keefe an important player for you?

He's not that good, but his absence means another hole in midfield, which will have to be filled by either Nicky Clee, a classy but crocked player who has managed a full 90 minutes just once all season, or George Bowerman (nuff said).

He will be badly missed as he has brought much needed height and energy to our midfield, we dont really have an adequate replacement, especially with so many injuries to key players.

Away to Grimsby Town. Buzzed for this one 'The Omar Bogle Derby'.
Very possible that he'll spend it on the bench though, I'm afraid. Hasn't been able to win his place back in the starting lineup over recent weeks.

I would have thought that there is a very good chance of him starting. I would think that PH will field a team that haven't had much first team action lately including players coming back from injury.

I'd have thought a lack of Josh O'Keefe would improve any midfield...
He didnt start well but, as is often the case with Sinnott, he gets the best out of players and O'Keefe has been playing like he did for Hereford before he signed for you lot, doing quite well of late and definitely settling in well now. As eighties Robin says the alternatives that are fit are worse.

Did we extend the Jones loan, or has he gone back now? I don't recall seeing anything about that. If he's gone then it will be interesting to see who Hurst starts against Shrewsbury.

Jones signed on a months loan on the 10th of November and along with the other 3 loanees has been given permission to play in both The FA Cup and FA Trophy for us but will only be here for The FA Trophy if we extend his loan.

He has still been injured SOC, only recovered for last Saturday to be on the bench.

Grimsby fans have been saying that they will be playing a weakened team and with Omar coming back from injury, he will be likely to be playing. Also, surely he would be desperate to play against the club he loves :bg:
This will be our first ever match against GTFC :bl:
Are you lot buzzing to play the famous Solihull Moors?

Ah, for some reason, I thought he was on the bench against Eastleigh and Welling as well.

I'm glad we're at home, as it should make our passage into the 2nd round more likely and I wouldn't have been going to the match either way, but I do think it would have been a much more interesting tie had it been drawn at your place.

Buxton vs BPA is tonight and could go to a replay so we might not have a game on Saturday after all.

I'm sure I read it was going to be settled in the first game due to the postponement the other Saturday.

Alty's first sending offs for about a year, the second one was our players own stupidity and now were down to kids for the big FA cup game on Sunday :ohn:

As predicted above this cost us sunday when we would have beat Colchester as 2 of their goals came from errors from our kids at the back.
However, we have Luca back for saturday's FA trophy tie vs Leamington and if we keep playing like we have in the FA cup we are good enough to win the FA Trophy this year:2thumb: a brave or stupid prediction?

FT Buxton 1-2 Bradford PA

I dont envy the Lincoln fans travelling to Avenue on Saturday.

A horrible ground to watch football in.

Scott Leather is first choice centre back, don't understand what you're talking about here.

Burscough it is then.
Our last league game there saw us win 0-4 with on loan striker Damian Reeves providing the assists.
I'm expecting a closer game this time around.
