This is what wound me up a bit about the moaning from some Barrow fans last week about the ref in our league game. He was whistle-happy but the way Barrow play it's not like he had to pull the fouls out his arse and nor was it us gaming him as they seemed to think. You can get a lot mileage being physical at this level but no sense in complaining if the ref doesn't let it slide.

People are going to moan about a ref after a defeat, but that game was something else. He got booed off at half-time. It's really no coincidence that EVERYONE was talking about last week's ref yesterday - nowt to do with giving fouls, but for giving them the wrong way and being fooled by all the play-acting!

We're not going to agree on this I reckon :D We can do the argument again over the play-off games if we're lucky.

I thought Chelmsford gave a good account of themselves today and were a credit to their league. Wilmott scored a cracker, although i don't think he would of got a shot away if Harris was playing instead of Wallace. Tranmere were very poor in the final third of the pitch and had to rely on a Cole Stockton special to get them out of trouble. Norwood was terrible once again and i wouldn't be suprised if his days at Tranmere are numbered, he still seems to have a hangover from the clubs Christmas party. Tolitt looked tired and more worryingly Wallace hobbled off at the final whistle.

Norwood has done nothing since he signed his new contract, he needs to be taken out of his comfort zone

If we beat Chelmsford (no assumptions made here) and then lose to Barrow, they'll still be mentioning it in November!

I don't fancy Tranmere to get past Chelmsford, surely Mellon will be resting key players ahead of saturdays more important league game.

Since the 3rd Round of the FA Cup we've had a middling Championship side (put out their reserves), top of the table Championship side (put out their reserves) and lower/mid-table Premiership (likely to rotate significantly). Normally for a non-League side the dream is to get to the 3rd Round and draw a serious moneyspinner - we've had 3 chances and not really got a 'dream' tie in one of them.

As for the Trophy, I doubt we've made a penny from shared gate receipts because we've had such shitty away draws every time. Had we been at home we would have had a few thousand in. As it is, we've had 482 at Nantwich, 578 at Gateshead and 743 at Welling (two thirds Lincoln fans). Maybe we'll scrape four figures at B'wood or Sutton (two thirds Lincoln, again).

I think Ipswich put out their best available side, which was even more embarrassing for them!

In the replay I think they played a few more first teamers, but in the original tie I think they only played about 3 or 4 regulars.

Indeed it's not the most glamorous draw for us (if we get through) so 4 figures on our end will be hard......

Another home draw. In the FA competitions we've only had 2 away draws this season

No chance we will "rest" anyone but there may be rotation.

We played poorly on Saturday and they defended well. Different story on Wednesday where they'll be expected to attack infront of 2500 home fans.

We seem to have a good 400 Lincoln fans living in the South East, which means we can take some good numbers to games down here. Estimates were 4-500 Imps for Welling on Saturday.

Here's what you could have won :( Would have enjoyed a visit to Dulwich and they have probably the only fans who wouldn't have moaned about the veggie burgers at ours.

Away every round so far and yet again AWAY. We will be playing either Sutton or Borehamwood.

The funny thing to remember is that there are always at least 2 clubs who can reach the final having only had home draws or away draws until that stage, it's mostly rare that it happens to a team that wins their way through those ties, especially the away ones for obvious reasons. Maybe Lincoln could be that team?...

Well all the West Ham/Arsenal and Spurs fans from those places might enjoy a trip to Wembley!

I presume with their FA Cup games Lincoln and Sutton might not play a strong side in the trophy - and of course the former are going for promotion too.

We've been using some of our squad players in the rounds so far. Not wholesale changes but basically giving the subs a go.

We've put as strong a side as possible for the most part so far. Obviously some players have been rested but mainly because of suspension issues. Suspensions and injuries account for most of our changes. In the Worthing replay we had a couple of academy players in the match day squad.

If we get past Wood in the replay then the Lincoln game is the Saturday after Arsenal

Annoyingly, our only northern Saturday away game has had to make way for this, so I hope we get Tranmere - not sure I can be arsed with Chelmsford.
We'll be going all out to win this one, because we'll have been beaten by Aldershot and Macclesfield between now and then, and this will be our only chance to save the season.

I'm quite happy with that draw for York, the longer they are in the competition the better. It'll be handy for us (and probably the rest of the sides in the relegation scrap) to see them with a fixture backlog.
