I guess we passed it around nicely but it was the same old problems that cost us - we can't finish and we aren't strong enough against physical teams like York. Parkin ran the game for them. Says a lot that they only had a few chances but still scored 3 goals. We're crying out for a player like him for next season.

Still no matter the result it was a great day out and the club was well represented thanks to a good turnout from the fans (not often the tinpotters match the support of the big ex league club). Hopefully some of them stick around next season.
Does Askey not think to rectify these problems? I mean, it's easier said than done, but I can't recall him signing anyone over the last 3 seasons or so where I've thought it looks like he's trying to sort last season's problem out.

That's his problem- he has no plan B. Same old 1 up top with a lack of firepower.

Caught most of that game yesterday. As a neutral I thoroughly enjoyed it. Far better entertainment than the dross I sat through watching Celtic v Hearts earlier.
