Why the hell has it not been agreed to finish it on the day..?

Because it’ll be funny to make a promotion rival do a long, pointless midweek journey to play our youth team.

We still have to play our 1st round game v Salisbury. Been postponed twice already due a waterlogged pitch at their ground. Playing on Tuesday and if we win (big if) away to Carshalton on the 12th. Draw and we replay on 12th.

Our game against Wrexham will have no bearing on each others final league positions or current form. Can't speak for Wrexham but we will make changes for this - At least 6 of our strongest starting XI will be rested and only a few of those will make the squad.

Justin Edinburgh was asked why we've gone for a replay, he said its because we don't have any scheduled midweek fixtures now until March and we don't have a fixture pile up either. It was decided that a draw would be a good result for us and that we'd be worthy of bringing Wrexham to Brisbane Road. Its also a cup that the clubs owners would like to win - I hear Kent Teague would love a day out at Wembley for a cup final.

I'd expect us to lineup similar to our game in the last round:

Dean Brill

Sam Ling
George Elokobi
Dan Happe
Myles Judd

Jordan Maguire-Drew
Alex Lawless
Dale Gorman
James Brophy/Josh Koroma

James Alabi
Matt Harrold

Subs
Sam Sargeant
Marvin Ekpetita
Charlie Lee
Josh Koroma/James Brophy
Macauley Bonne

Unless we sign a striker or midfielder before the game, this will be the lineup I'd expect. Around 6 or 7 changes.

I didn't go today so can't comment but our season is over, bar scraping up to 50 points.

Money scathing about the players

Captain quit the club this week because he couldn't bear the standard of football in this cesspit.

Noble out for 6 weeks.

We got played off the park by Telford

Fuck my life.

A long journey down to Weymouth for Ramsbottom on Tuesday night after their draw today. Kind of feel sorry for them, as the travelling hasn't been kind to them and that's one hell of a journey to make even on a Saturday.

Hope they can beat the arrogant buggers at Weymouth though, as unlikely as you would imagine that is.

The only annoying thing to come out of this game today, was that Marvin Ekpiteta got injured and now we have both our first choice CBs out injured for at least a month.

As much as Dan Happe and George Elokobi did a decent enough job today, they aren't anywhere near as good as our first choice pairing. Plus Elokobi's fitness is a huge concern.

We now have Barrow away on a Tuesday night as well now - could be seen as an advantage/disadvantage due to who could be fit and not fit.

Wrexham looked ok up until the final third today I thought. Both sides rested players - We rested 5 and it should've been 6............

Anyone but Salford or Fylde in the next round please.

5-0 win against National League South Truro and it could have been 10-0 by all accounts.

I know they are struggling with form and injuries and we are absolutely on fire atm but I think it shows the National League North is a lot stronger depth wise.

I stupidly decided to go and it was probably the worst performance of the season, Telford looked fitter, stronger and streets ahead of us. Money doesn't help himself with team selection (no Hawkes or Kioso) but these players we have are the absolute pits and are solely responsible for another abysmal season, I dunno what's happened to Muir, wouldn't look out of place on the Rec Sunday morning, I know we tend to train ability out of players when they come here but he has gone from a real promising player to someone who looks like they've never kicked a ball before.

You look at our squad and I'd honestly only keep 5 of them, Loach, Kioso, Hawkes, Noble, Donaldson and scatter the rest.

I hope we get to 50 points soon, cos I have no faith in this squad to be up for a relegation battle.

Went through fairly comfortably in the end, although a sloppy goal could easily led to an unwanted replay.

Not sure if we still play League games

We put out a weakened team& after going 2-1 down gave up. They didn't fancy a replay.
Glad i didn't go.

Were through after scraping through 1-0 at home to Bedford. Didn’t go and can’t see me going to any game unless a decent sounding away game comes up. Judging by the attendance I’m not the only one in that boat!

When’s the next round played? Assume we will have a game moved now? Excellent

Wanna bet? I predicted after watching Salford & Orient on first day of the season, they were a cut above the rest of this league and would be the teams to beat. Wrexham are just well, Wrexham. :ds:

Great. Had pencilled in our league game that date as I’ve never been. Certainly won’t be going to Braintree on a Tuesday night though

Money's comments are spot on and he talks a lot of sense but I don't think it's going to work out as usual, of course give him time and so on. Just have my doubts.

Interesting but depressing at the same time was that he said Telford were not 'the' better side. He said Telford are 'a' better side. Says it all really.

State of our club.

Draw tomorrow at 12.15pm on talk sport:

AFC Fylde
Barnet
Blyth Spartans
Carshalton Athletic
Chesterfield
FC Halifax Town or Solihull Moors
AFC Telford United
Hemel Hempstead Town
Brackley Town
Maidstone United
Ramsbottom United or Weymouth
Salford City
Spennymoor
Stockport County
Harrogate Town
Leyton Orient

Would fancy us against anyone except Salford or Fylde.

We'll just use the game to rest players again anyway - especially if we get a home draw against a side in the league below.
