Right back into it now

Played for about 3 hours last night and same this morning. Progressed a bit further in the campaign and building up a huge settlement in Sanctuary. I think it was a case of me not fully understanding how to build and power things that was getting to me, and the fact I was basically just roaming before.

Really enjoying it now though. Weird.

Had my first actual game breaking glitch yesterday. Which is impressive, because for a game that I hear so much stuff about glitches with it's the first real issue I've had. But yeah, your basic Bethesda ordeal... fall through the map, reappear just above the ground, hover for 3 seconds, land, dramatic death. Standard issue.

Yes it is KEV. After my early stumbling block when I wasn't looking forward to putting it on for a few days, I'm right back into it now and can't put it down. Love the crafting and settlement stuff, and there is just so much, perhaps too much to see and do. I've not even been anywhere close to Diamond City yet, and that's one of the first few of the campaign missions AFAIK.

I've finally got to Diamond City.

And now my quest thing looks too full. Fuck off, Bethesda. Let me finish just one quest without picking up like 2 more in the process. I beg you.

I'm still knocking around Lexington, just cleared The Corvega Plant thingy.

I agree though, I picked up a radio signal in the Corvega Plant giving me another mission to go to Cambridge to help whoever is having trouble there.

Still, really enjoying it now.

I got a little tired of this and then took a couple of weeks off. Got back playing it this weekend and loving it again. Probably just overdid it a little.

I finally got around to finishing the main story last night.

Better spoilerise in case anybody else has somehow taken as long as me.

Went with The Institute route. Felt pretty gutted about some of the things the game made me do at the end. And in fact, it seemed totally inconsistent with the character I'd played up until that point. I spent a fair bit of time traveling around with Danse, so to show up at sanctuary and have him shooting at me and having to put him down without even being able to talk to him about it first... pretty shit.
And then having to go and basically massacre the Railroad with no other options... again, didn't feel like something my character would do, but I had to do it to progress the story.

I loved this for a while until the harsh reality that i am absolutely shite at it kicked in, i can't kill anything in it not even those large flying cockroaches. I also forget what I'm doing in it after not playing it for a few days and it can take about 3 hours to have a clue what I'm supposed to be doing.

Kill shit in VATS.

I've finished it. Went with the Railroad. I was a bit disappointed with how few side quests there were. I've discovered most places on the map too. Took me a while to get my head round making shit, but by the time I'd understood it I couldn't be fucked to do it so I think on my next play through I'll do it then. Sray n pray ended up being one of my favourite weapons, but it was the welcome re-appearance of the Railway rifIe I liked most.

Didn't find the Broadsider.

You didn't do the USS Constitution quests then? A shame if not, some of the only entertaining interactions in the game.

Was it a Brotherhood line quest?

Sometimes its good to be sick. You need to side with the ironsides to get it btw.

I was hyped until I heard it's rumoured to be an MMO like Elder Scrolls Online. Now I'm cautiously hyped, but prepped for fury.

Elder scrolls was appalling. Granted I hate mmo as nothing ruins your immersion like idiots running around jumping constantly. This will be their kotor 3 being kotor online.

Is it going to be an MMO? I've been hearing it might be a survival game. Terrible either way.

I nearly spunked in my pants when I heard that the announcement was regarding a new Fallout.

Then I heard it was an online Fallout.

Dry pants.

My interest level has dropped to zero following the Bethesda conference.
