Pissed of with Notts and strangely even more pissed off with this shambles of a site. DX records and domains are not complicated!

We're just a mess.
Defence tightens up, we create nothing. Try to create and we're wide open and concede hat fulls.
At no point have we looked decent all season, a goalless draw against Bury probably the highlight.
We can't lose to lowly Cambridge and Macclesfield in successive home games and expect to stay up . One win since early October, worst defence in the league, the awful stats just keep coming.

No body cares, I don't I am actually glad I passed on a £2 ticket and paid £6 to watch step 9 at Long Eaton. 1 nil down after 20. Down to 10 after 35. Come out 2nd half and win 3-1.

I really am falling out of Love with the pies and it hurts. Next season there is a big possibility that my team and my other team play in the FA Cup qualifiers. Disgusted!

If you drop to non-league you might actually start winning games though.

Or you could do a Chesterfield. Grim.

We also appear to have reached a delightful place where anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Vaughan and Kellett put in a couple of good performances in a row for the first time all season then manage to both get injured. The defence actually does a job for a whole game and restricts the opposition to basically nowt but Stead comes back and loses his man on a corner. Hopeless.

Throughly enjoyed the day out yesterday, haven’t been to meadow lane in over 20yrs!!

Game wasn’t the best but felt we done what was needed to get the 3pts, first half I thought we looked the better side and deserved the lead, 2nd half we sat back and never looked like scoring, luckily for us I don’t think county would scored if we was still playing now.

I’m really liking calderwood, he’s doing well with what he’s got and seems to have sorted us out(exclude the franchise result) long may it continue.

Hope both us and county stay up.

Thought the Cambridge fans were great yesterday, never stopped singing and making a noise, despite the game being dire. Lucky they did, because the home atmosphere was terrible.

Highlight of yesterday was my Missus driving us back home with Radio Notts on with Flitcroft being interviewed when she asked “who’s that boring bastard on the radio?” Bit of a potty mouth, my Missus.

Thanks to the site being down, glad we quietly got our 3 points and knocked any remaining optimism out of County. That performance was what we usually do with a crowd boosted by a special offer. Great atmosphere for us, terrible for the nervy County players.

Probably our biggest travelling league support (1,653) for decades saw a rubbish match and we didn't care. It's going to be hell on here for County fans with all the East Midlands/Lincs derbies coming up. We clearly played them at the optimum time.

My day started positively as I was travelling on my own so diverted to Thorney to search out a Rough-legged Buzzard. The search was succesful and a great omen.

Deserved win for Cambridge really who were the more dynamic attacking side in the first half then easily withstood our ‘pressure’ after the break. Was meat and drink for their two big CBs really.

We seriously missed Hemmings or Kellett or even Vaughan to link the midfield and attack - Stead and Dennis not the ideal front two in that scenario.

Only bright points were the new keeper, who looked confident, and Jim O’Brien, motm on his debut.

Was gutted to miss this one as I did fancy us yesterday and it’s always great to be part of a big away following. I listened to most of the first half and it sounded like we played well. I missed the goal and all of the second half but was constantly checking my phone - that second half seemed to go on for ever!

It’s a massive win for us, especially given the other results down there.

If you're disgusted you still care, just. Apathy is the killer.

Never a truer word. Being honest here when your clubs in the shit (been there done that) you’re got to stick by them. It might not be good, pretty or appealing but that’s part and parcel of being a true and proper fan, you can’t just fuck them off when they’re doing shit.

He must have sounded dull as per. The trauma of dropping to 5th must have hurt him

And that's why Big Al's two quid for a game offer doesn't work, and will never work with the way things are panning out for them this season.

Whoever thinks this was a good idea doesn't have the slightest clue on football in general.

Still, as a U's fan I have to say thank you to big Al. Much appreciated sir!

He doesn’t, that’s the problem. The offer was out of desperation and stank of another “let’s shine the light on hardy” rather than focusing on a relegation 6 pointer.

It makes me happy to have a secure, decent owner.

Our owner can be blamed for a lot of things but managing a sell out crowd in our big-for-the-League ground isn’t one of them.

Did it last season against Crewe when we won 4-1 and I would be amazed if we didn’t get a few long term fans out of it. Obviously didn’t go so well yesterday but criticising the bloke for such a great offer is weird.

What's weird? Around 13000 Pies 'fans' watching that shower? That's the problem with these kind of promotions, it;s all good when the side puts in a decent performance as some will undoubtedly want to return. How many 'new fans' will be returning after yesterdays?

Was going to say exactly the same. What was the ambition of a 4-1 against Crewe anyway? Actually come watch us and we’ll be easily worse next season? Cracking offer.

He’d be better off focusing on improving what he does so badly - like manager recruitment and player signings than daft offers which don’t work.

Well done on your win yesterday btw, you’ve got to go to places like that and let your quality shine through,

I'm not sure it's such a good idea to drum up big crowds for big games mid-season when the side is in such poor form and low in confidence, it just raises expectations and negativity when the team is not living up to expectations in front of their fans, and it may have caused Notts to freeze in a massive six-pointer (as may have been the case vs Cheltenham and Macclesfield). Better to leave it until the end of the season when the team is in form and just needs that one win to avoid relegation (like when Notts beat Huddersfield in front of a bumper crowd on the final day to cap that amazing escape in 2002).

Just my half-penny's worth.

Last season when they did it I think they only got 3500 a week or two later. I don’t know why they keep insisting it’s a good idea.

Not understanding these arguments. We all moan that’s football is too expensive and a club does some great offers to fill more seats and it’s somehow a bad thing.

Can only conclude that it’s a little bit of jealousy from fans of clubs who couldn’t get 15,000 if they had the ground, they were top of the league and it was free.

I think you’ve got “head in the sand” syndrome mate.

The arguments are pretty valid and pretty simple.

We gave up doing offers years ago.

It'd not work now anyway, but I can recall £10 tickets in our relegation game against Aldershot (8,500) when we were in the depths of the NL we had a 'pay what you want' one against Chester (5,500).

They've never really worked for us, not because we generally lost any 'offer' games but the impact on future attendances were negligible, if anything. We've been better off implementing permanent deals for families and students.

Any suggestions of jealously towards Notts County is delusional at best.

What, we’re crap, so we should be wanting as few fans as possible to come an watch us? Yeah, great logic.

The fact is that unlike other clubs at this level, we’ve got thousands of empty seats. That can make for a poor atmosphere and it looks rubbish, but on the other hand, there’s thousands of pounds of potential income. Hardy’s made it his priority to fill as many as those seats as possible, with offers like yesterday, and permanent cheap tickets for kids.

Our crowds this season are at least a couple of thousand up on previous seasons when we’ve struggled in the league, so his strategy is working, at least off the pitch. We’ll probably end up paying people to come for the big games against Solihull and Boreham Wood next season though.

I do get your point TheEndIsNigh, I really do, and usually I'd be inclined to side with your argument. The price of football, the half empty grounds etc, those are all valid points. The problem in this case though is that it's all to do with timing. IMO, it's not a good idea at all when the side is struggling and the fare on offer is one of low quality. And if that wasn't bad enough, you then do it for 6 pointer matches. Much better to do it when you play a mid table side with little to play for if you ask me.

It was great to see so many people at a very neat ground for a 4th div match, but the timing was all wrong.

Fair comment, Vanni. I’m not sure the timing will ever be great this season. Lincoln and the Staggies up next at home, so it’ll be probably game over after that.

Vanni, we lose when the ground's empty, we lose when it's full.
The only downside of losing in front of a big crowd is that the crowd see for themselves how bad we are, the radio doesn't always convey the level of ineptitude that the hardy few have been enduring all season.

No idea what happened to the site, I lost access for about 4/5 days?! Poor.

A lot of truth posted on here pre and post, and even more rubbish. Some of the (external) views regarding attendances/offers are a joke lol. Beyond stupidity. Although the attendance was very impressive without a doubt, how it was achieved and it’s timing is literally the least of our problems.

We’re toast! Needed a minimum of one win against Macc and Cambridge at home, bare minimum. With Stall and more worryingly the manager both commenting on a lack of desire throughout the squad, save from only the newest of recruits, you have no chance.

No heart, no fight, no chance. The club’s history is about to be#stained. Big mistake followed by big mistake followed by big mistake since May equals relegation. Many have been there before us, but I believe it’s now our time.
