The one saving grace is that Notts' run-in looks relatively kind from the end of March, Stevenage though tough will probably be pretty much out of the play-off race by then, and only MK Dons will likely have anything to play for. But before then it looks nightmarish, derbies, tons of six-pointers, away games at Tranmere, FGR and Carlisle. If they can get some unexpected results in home games against Lincoln and/or Exeter and show more steel for relegation crunch games which they don't seem to have done up until now so they're not too far adrift by then, they may have the confidence to engineer a great escape but it's looking a big if at the moment.
Still it's very sad it's come to this, I could be wrong but I see Notts as a club who should be doing far better than they have done in the last quarter century, ie at least a Championship/League 1 yo-yo club like Barnsley if not better (I think their average league position is still better than ours), as they get decent crowds for their division when they do well.
