Forest Green look absolutely awful. Keeper has been shite, they can't defend, midfield has done nothing and they don't look like scoring. Cooper out.

Think it was something very similar.
He pointed out it's easier to get up from a division with more promotion spots, but being who he is and the other stuff he comes out with that took on a life of its own. There could be twelve promotion spots and we wouldn't be troubling them though.

FGR were the worst side in league football I’d seen in the first half last week (doesn’t say much for us) but we’re miles better second half all be it helped by Browns tactics.

Thought they looked decent enough tonight for most of the game but tired into the end of the game and defensively are woeful.

They need to sort that defence to have any chance of staying up.

Poor enough defensively as it was (could easily have been two or more down at the half) then when Bennett had to go off he stuck young Iacovitti at right back where he's well out of position, should have brought Collins over. Worry is not even threatening the goal any more and Doidge will be hard pressed to keep his chin up on them slim pickings.

Forest Green remind me of us.

Shit defensively and toothless in attack.

Just found his quote. “Getting out of this league is so difficult, with just one automatic spot – and we’re out. Getting into League One, I do think will be easy. There are four slots."

Pretty much as I described it and if you listen to the whole thing that was clearly his point. If he hadn't used the word easy wouldn't be hearing this same old shite every week :D

Not good, we did ok with Drissa on but haven't got anyone else capable of doing what he does. Collins was ok up until the goals, but you can't make a howler every game. Need Russell back in goal for me.

Hope Cooper doesn't get the boot until we have a good go at him for the way he left Notts and caved in at Mansfield the other year. That's before you throw in Noble.

We need a strong, physical, athletic midfielder beside Drissa not a 20 year old managers son who is ok but cannot influence the game. The kid is going to be decent, but we need his energy later in the game. He is not an influential player now!

Fact: we lost our best player from last year to Barnsley: Ethan Pinnock. Intelligent lad who chose to wait until he finished his uni degree before becoming a pro - defence is now shite.

You need to buy a grizzled veteran. Someone like David Mirfin or Nathan Clarke

Cooper Jnr will be knocking around the National League and no higher. This is the peak of his career in Daddy's team. Daddy had no clue over the transfer window and he has assembled such a joke of a League Two side that it isn't going to end well.

On Cooper Jnr .. yeah u may be right. At the moment he looks proper NL, but he could he make get into L2, however currently he has zero influence on a game. Agreed with transfer policy.. poor.

We just spent feck all on loan kids who constantly flatter to deceive and over the hill journeymen. And doesn't it show.

Yep. We look short of quality. Some of the youngsters have bright futures I think. Gomes especially will be a real player in the long run, but I suspect that will be after learning the hard way with us.

Going to be a battle like the good old days. Worst that can happen is we go down, Vince loses interest and don't have to move to the m5 junction. Not all bad.

4 away wins out of 5 including 3 clean sheets. Improve home performances and we'll piss this tinpot league.

On a serious note FGR were terrible aside from Traore, and their keeper for 85 minutes. Reminded me of our second season under Cooper...look decent knocking the ball around until it comes to the 18 yard box and run out of ideas. I would be looking to get rid of him ASAP to be brutally honest. When it's not working he has no other way of trying to change a game. Couldn't be happier that the Cooper/Williams era is a thing of the past and we're back to an uglier but far more effective way of playing football.

For us a professional job well done which was 5 minutes away from being a very frustrating evening and 2 pts dropped. Will need to be better but signs that we're getting there in terms of team selection and moulding 16 new players into a winning outfit.

Expecting a much tougher outing Tuesday v Coventry. A nice tonking and a few red cards for them V Exeter wouldn't go unappreciated tomorrow :sl:

I saw a Dale Vince interview and in it he said:

" Beware the might of FGR, we are gonna steamroller our way through the leagues all the way to the Premier League becoming the English Hoffenheim along the way, League 2 - fucking doddle we won't even lose a game with some of the shit tinpot outfits in there.
League 1 maybe just lose the once on our way to the title by a lucky deflection or something before smashing Championship Mickey Mouse outfits like Villa Middlesbrough and Leeds on our way to the Premier League whilst getting 25000 gates every week.
He then let out an evil laugh like Greenback at the end of every Dangermouse episode whilst smiling into the camera.

Unfortunately the link to it won't work though so you'll just have to take my word for it....
